We met at ACC--now, University--and she put a gun to my head, and demanded wedlock. I of course, complied, and have been the better man for it. Your newspaper is a breath of fresh air...and you let the leftist readers scream their heads off, without censoring them. Wow... I do not think that truthful, factual reporting is Conservative or Liberal. It is just what we need, and no apologies, thank you. I have learned that I am xenophobic, homophobic, and a fear monger...this was news to me, but your reviewers apparently know me, somehow. I throw no stones at these pinheads, however. [smile] Please continue, but if I might include one small detail...please, please reduce the subscription price, for this monthly paper. 72 or 73 dollars is wayyy too high. First, I am appalled by Yelp selecting their "Recommended Reviews" which are heavily biased to the thoughts of Liberals who deny facing reality (apparently through their ignorance). The negative reviews selected also go back to 2013 and do NOT represent the current content of the newspaper. Further, Yelp's "NOT Recommended Reviews" contain many 5-star reviews that are right on target about this open discussion newspaper... which also do not appear to be included in the Yelp 2-star rating... and I thought Yelp strived to be fair. This does not appear to be the case. I just read the June 2019 issue and was impressed at the truthfulness and rationale presented in the opinionated articles. Yes, they represent the views of Conservatives, but they are clearly based and supported by factual reality. The June issue is not yet on the Internet website, but prior issues (e.g., May 2019) are. Give it a read and see if the negative reviews are either correct... or pure Liberal trash trolling. Anyone who denies that the current crop of "Progressives" are not suppressing free speech or even daring to listen to an opposing opinion on important issues is a blithering idiot with their head in the sand. The Liberals actively recruit protestors to interrupt and shut down authorized presenters of conservative views, strive to preclude any conservative speakers from college campuses, and effectively are denying any open discussion of different views from their own. It's always entertaining to pick up a free copy at the hotel whenever I'm in town for an ACU event. This is the most radical, right wing publication that spins the latest tin foil hat conspiracy theories. Better than Info Wars, it is many times hard to believe that this is not a satirical paper. If you are in any way politically inclined (My Bachelors degree from ACU is in Political Science) this publication will provide an hour or two of entertainment. You will wonder if there are real people that actually believe this stuff. read more

When I saw this rag at a restaurant, I vowed to never return. Had to take a shower after looking at it.

The most bias news ever printed that I've ever read. So slanted that the truth is difficult to recognize. I'm not a liberal or a democrat but a independent voter able to investigate a motion, amendment or candidate for their merit. If you want fair and balanced news reporting watch PBS. I did find a good use for this newspaper, if you can call it that, use it to line the bottom of the bird cage. read more

I found the Buffalo Gap News by accident in a hotel in Abilene that is not afraid to display its Christian mindset. The articles are not meant to be Fake News; they are the columnists' personal views to which they are entitled. There are also factual pieces that, if people would take the time to really read them with an open mind, lead one to further examination of the topics. I'm so tired of having to watch every word I speak or write for fear of "offending" someone that this paper is a breath of fresh air. Interesting how Christians get offended all the time from many sources but when we speak up for ourselves, we're in the wrong. That's okay; Jesus was "offended" often too and look what He did for us! read more

I love this paper because it makes me laugh, laugh out loud. There is fear mongering and other nonsense but its no worse than the liberal news that makes everything out to be so terrible all the time. Its nice to hear that not EVERYONE hates our POTUS. Plus there are other things like recipes and jokes. For those of you who have a sense of humor and don't take EVERTHING to heart I highly suggest reading it. read more

If I received a single dollar for every bias, every sugar coated opinion in this that was stated as if it was fact, I would have enough money to subscribe to this for 8 lifetimes. I almost thought it was a parody the first time I read one a few years ago, and when i found out it wasn't, I was very shocked. So shocked in fact, that I did not believe it was written and actually subscribed to by actual human beings. It took me a while to accept that people actually read this trash. Keep in mind, I am neither a Liberal, nor a Conservative, So my opinion isn't entirely altered by political catagories. I do live in Buffalo Gap, so i am not a stranger to this area. One star because the paper did make a good mad for my puppies to use the bathroom on when I was still house-training them. read more

I think the Buffalo Gap News is awesome. The articles give you the truth, something that is lacking in most of the media today. I enjoy the jokes and cartoons. It has a variety of honest down to earth articles. I like the comments from people that have been given a copy and write in wanting a subscription. The Buffalo Gap News is a breath of fresh air.
