I don't know if this update is a review for Taylor telecom or yelp but 20 minutes after this post I had the most amazing tech on-site, who was polite, honest and efficient. Now we have internet. For future reference Taylor telecom... just communicate. We went thru that storm. We understand the far spread damage and understand it may take days but also understand we have broken fences, missing barns, damaged roofs, neighbors in distress... we just need honest and open COMMUNICATION. Waited weeks for them to arrive to put in our internet. They broke the main waterline going to our house. Took weeks and several phone calls before they completed fixing the waterline. Everything was going ok, had to reset the box weekly, but not terrible. Had a big storm in the area and called to tell them that our internet was out, figured their equipment got fried somewhere. They said "yes it's an outage, be patient, we have crews out working on it". Waited thru the weekend with no communication and still no internet. We call back on Monday "oh there's not an outage, there's just a lot of people with problems but since there's no ticket your not even in line to get fixed" they finally made a ticket and promised someone would call because there are people working thru the holiday. We call back again "oh no one will call you today it's a holiday". Taylor communication is the worst at communicating with each other let alone their customers. Not a terrible service until the slightest hiccup happens then you will not get any reliable information and certainly not the service your are paying for. read more

Great Internet service provider. Have used them for over them for over 5 years. Have not had many issue but when we have, they have always been fast and courteous with service. read more

Update!!! here it is 4 yes 4 months later and I'm still dealing/ suffering with Taylor Telecom's destruction of my property. I asked for the water line they cut 9 times to to be flushed out after repair. But they didn't! Now look what I just removed from my washing machine hose screen. Stopped up with grass on the cold side. Wonder what's in my hot water heaters tank. I'm not sure where to get help in making this right except utility commission in Austin. read more

Having been a loyal business and individual customer of Taylor Telecom (formerly Taylor Telephone), for many years I can say I have recently seen a negative trend in customer service. The company used to be very responsive to customer needs and customer experience. I understand they are growing but it seems with that they are loosing focus on those of us who helped build the company, which is a co-op and we are all "owners." I know of quite a few folks including myself that continuously lose internet service. We are all in the DSL zone and not part of the Fiber Optics area yet. I have been told by others that they have the same experience as I, but when I make a call due to an outage, I rarely get a return call. I have been documenting these calls and I am approaching double digits. As others have said they experience, each time it rains, our area drops internet connection. It usually takes rebooting the DSL modem. Now I would think this was a problem only with me if I had not called and spoken with others during the outages. They are experiencing the same issue. On the occasion I do get through to Taylor Telecom, they say every time that they are looking into the issue. A resolution other than a reboot is ever reached. Outages during or just before storms are not a sparse occurrence. It seems to happen every single time. This makes working from home during the pandemic a very frustrating juggle. It's pretty embarrassing to be on zoom conferences and but cut off because your provider cannot fulfill the uptime the boast about. In the end I am only country the days that a new provider enters the area so there an be some connection stability. True to form there is a storm in the distance and as I was trying to post this, Taylor Telecom internet went down and I have to use cellular. See images. read more

Had a few issues in the first few days but tech support was good n things have been working good since.

terrible service, high ping spikes are constant. Every night at twelve the ping spikes are enormous, very annoying and the call center is no help. read more
