This company is dishonest and duplicitous in their dealings with customers. The prices for same services varies depending on the sales person..my sales person told me that after my initial treatment in April 2025 I was required to maintain monthly service for one year. I found out today that's not true! I had to call because my ach payment didn't go through (the card was locked) i asked the representative to take one payment that was due he took it upon himself to two payments when I specified that i wanted to pay for January. They are hustlers and liars...take your business elsewhere cause the people have no integrity or standards. read more

Would I use Bugout? Never again. I'm patiently waiting hoping they did not kill my grass. The gentleman who put our first treatment on our grass said, and I quote "it is very obvious you all take great care of your lawn. I hope we don't disappoint". That was November 2024. It is May 2025. We received treatment Tuesday, April 29. Immediately on Wednesday April 30, I noticed my grass was browning. You could see spray patterns. I was told, when they came back out, this is where the sun hits my grass, we are in a drought, and to not mow. He could see my mow lines (from the Friday before) and told me I mow too much. I have Saint Augustine grass. We have been in our home a little over a year. Now I'm dealing with this. Very brown, dying grass. I let it sit, continued to water (3x a week for 45 min a cycle. Our system is on a timer!) and it looks worse. I have emails and contact about what I've been "advised" and I have pictures of my lawn before. Bugout ruined my grass. read more

Technician came out and met me at the door. I wen inside and waited ten minutes. His spray rig never turned on and he performed no service and was already gone - although I had alreay been invoiced and paid a total of 690 dollars. I was on the back patio and he never came into the back yard with his spray rig. He had put the sign in my yard and left a card saying he had sprayed the lawn for weeds and associated pests, as well as treating in with fertilizer. No moisture or other residue was present on the yard. Since it was 10 AM it was early enough and cool enough it could not have evaporated in that short time. Called his supervisor. He sent the young man back out. When I asked him directly to his face if he had sprayed the yard, his only response was, "well, I put a card on your door that said what I did." I know when I'm being lied to. Sent him away and called to cancel my service and get a refund of the $690 I had paid in advance. I'm still being ignored on that request. read more

***Bug out needs to reach out to me and absorb the final bill. See below for details. We HAD Bug Out for our lawn service. We have over an acre of property, and we require Bug Out, or the like, to prevent weeds in our grass and keep out the bug infestation. Despite watering our grass regularly with a comprehensive irrigation system (our water bill is in excess of $600/month in the summer months), a large portion of our front grass died. This particular area appeared to have been infested and taken over by weeds. When we reported the issue to the guy servicing our grass, we asked him what we were to do about the weed infestation and the dead grass and his response was, "I don't know!" We contacted the District Manager who did not get back to us for over a week. When he finally returned our call, he came out and looked at the grass and told us the dead grass was due to lack of water. So, we turned on our comprehensive irrigation system to show him there is no lack of water to that area as evidenced by the full coverage of water and the aforementioned $600/month water bill. The DM quickly changed his tune from lack of a sprinkler system to, "well there's not enough water in this area!" Despite ALL evidence to the contrary BUG OUT WAS NOT WILLING TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR LACK OF PREVENTATIVE SERVICE. The DM assessed our front lawn and said we would need to be serviced twice with a 3-week window in between to get rid of the weeds that had grown in front. Following, our regular service guy came out one time and then never returned. He was scheduled to come back 3 weeks later, and, on the date, he was scheduled to come he never showed up. We reviewed our security camera footage to find that the Bug Out truck did pass our property on that date during our service window. The driver drove right by our home, never stopping, not even slowing down and never treating our grass. When we called to inquire and express our frustration, we were told it was canceled due to weather! So, we rescheduled and again he was a no show. Yet Bug Out can point their finger at us as if it was our negligence that caused the problem. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Bug Out has been fired due to their lack of service and accountability. We will not be paying the final bill as it has now cost us $650 in time and materials to replace our dead grass and restore the remaining grass to health. BUG OUT, BEWARE BECAUSE MY RESOLVE ON THIS WILL NOT FADE AWAY. I HAVE OPENED UP A COMPLAINT AGAINT BUG OUT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. SCAMMERS those liars told my mother that the services are "for" 75. She made sure it's 75 multiple times and after got charged 475. She was told that she agreed to 475, but they purposely said "for" 75 to make her agree, even tho she made sure it's 75 multiple times. When she called them the staff was extremely unprofessional towards her, telling her that she agreed to it and that is all !!! They lied to me. I was told that if I signed a contract to trap an armadillo, that they would not euthanize the animal and that they would take the armadillo out somewhere to live. That's what the sales guy said. I quizzed the tech when he arrived to set the trap and found out that they euthanize them. It's not OK to lie to people. read more

Well, I tried. Again what was told to me does not happen with this company. Developed fungus in the backyard and called the salesman, which is what I was told to do. On the first visit the salesman said call him and they would be out ASAP. Well 5 days later and a much larger fungus problem I gave up. Be careful. First not 100% sure this is the right location to complain about but it was definitely a bug out van that arrived 2 hours after giving a 4 hour window to show up! 8-12 then show up at around 2 work for less than 30 mins then gone and nobody can go into house for 3 hours after, if this is their company policy run fast cuz not worth the headache. I called at 8:07am this morning and I was told that a technician would be here between 8:00 - 5:00 today. I called at 2:54pm today to confirm that a technician was still coming. It is now 5:05pm. No one has showed up and I did not receive a call informing me that no one would be here as I was told at 8:07am today. I consider your actions to be extremely inconsiderate. My husband and I both were home today. We purposely remained at home the entire day to ensure we could meet with you. Your actions toward us today i.e. not keeping the appointment that you gave me and calling me to inform me that you would not be able to fulfill the request is proof to me that you have minimal concern for customer relations and you do not value new clients such as myself. Update: I did hear from the company's owner I'm assuming. Very polite and quickly addressed my matters. I don't like leaving negative reviews so I will add that it may have been a fluke situation. Overall I was very appreciative of the professionalism in closing my account. I do not recommend this company to any one for the following reasons. After a few months of service (beginning May 2019 to date), we continued to have bugs crawling everywhere from our showers through the drainage, roaches, etc. When I called to get someone out they set up the appointment and that was the end of that or so I thought. The service person who came out did not ring my doorbell (I have a video doorbell that records and also lets me know on my phone in case I didn't hear it) and simply left after they claimed to have done the exterior. He did not come inside to spray or make attempts to do so by ringing (not knocking) my bell. I switched to another company and I have been making numerous attempts to cancel my service with them. Run around city with their employees saying that they can't cancel accounts and instead their managers are the only ones allowed to do so. These managers are then out in the field and can't return a simple call nor can they cancel your service but yet continue to send you requests for future service payments. Their manager, Scott Nelson, can't return a call and it's beyond unprofessional to hold a customer hostage through these run around tactics. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Very fast service. Our house was infested with a bunch of wasps and Nick came right out and got rid of them. Very professional service, as well. He explained everything to me and got right down to business. Afterwards, he explained a good course of action to get rid of the old chest of drawers that they were using as a nest. Had their lawn service for the entire past year and had to call them out many times between my normal service for insect control. They did a terrible job controlling my beautiful lawn and now is destroyed and will cost me a pile of money to replace the sod. Have gotten estimates but Bug Out service will not even help at all with replacement- I do not recommend that company to any one looking for a lawn service that will take your money and not protecting your lawn. read more

I just wanted to let the company know that I received ELLECENT service today from one of your employee, Mr. Quinton H, He was very professional and knew what he was doing. He did not brush me off, but made me feel like I was his only customer at the time and wanted to make sure that I was taken care of and that I was satisfied with what he had done. I tell you that you don't find that kind of attentiveness too much any more. It is all about the quantity and not the quality.
