Our neighbour is a plumber, and he recommended that we come here and have a look at their stock. They have a huge selection of paints, some really good tiles, excellent value flooring (we saw nice-looking solid oak floorboards that worked out under £30 per square meter...we might have to come back!!) They even have a selection of baths/ showers/ loos/ bathroom fittings. It is CHEAP!! I thought Tops tiles was good value, but this place made their tiles seem expensive!! *Pro-tip: Be careful if you want to park near here! We saw a traffic warden wandering around and all the parking spaces seemed to be for residents only!!

I was helped as soon as I walked into the store by friendly and super knowledgeable staff. I got some obscure light fixtures that I couldn't find at any major popular store here for £2 a pop. I really appreciated my shopping experience at this place and would come back to buy a hammer anytime.

Yes, this is a regular one-stop-shop of the old-fashioned variety, where the owner knows the regulars and will cheerfully point you in the right direction for whatever obscure item you're looking for - and he knows, because he probably ordered it and placed it there himself. I've always had helpful and friendly service whenever I've walked in here - and have actually been pleasantly surprised to discover that I've also never left without the item I was looking for. It may look small, but this shopkeeper seems to have a sixth sense for what his customers will inevitably need.

Costa did some work at my home and I am so disappointed with the work, it is awful…read more The paint work and plastering are extremely patchy and lumpy and a complete eye sore. It just seemed like they didn't know what they were doing but they claim to be experts in decorating, which is questionable. Also, they damaged my flooring as they have made massive dents in the wooden flooring and they didn't even mention that they did this as they thought it was acceptable to do this. My heart dropped when I saw the flooring like this. There was no care for my personal belongings, I asked them to cover my personal items up properly but they either didn't bother to put the plastic sheet over my items or they would the plastic sheet down whilst doing lots of messy work. Also, they painted the front room in two different shades of white and the plaster and paint work looks messy and not to a professional standard. They even damaged the heating monitor, which controls the heating and I had to call an engineer to fix this and this caused me to have no heating during the cold weather. I told Costa that he broke the heating control and he just looked at me and said nothing, which I thought was rather odd at the time but I could tell by his face that he knew that he had broken the heating control monitor. I have severe asthma and was forced to sleep without heating and I told them I have breathing problems but they didn't care at all. I am very vulnerable person. When they want your business, they seem to be nice and all smiles but when you tell about the mistakes that they have made with the work, they are not interested in listening at all. I have had a terrible experience with this company and unfortunately, I cannot recommend them.

I stopped by to pick up a simple screwdriver one day (and was surprised by the price, a bit…read moreexpensive for a stubby flathead) only to realize upon getting home that it wasn't what I needed for the project I was working on. I stopped by to make the return and was told I couldn't do so until noon when the supervisor arrived because it was a credit card transaction and he had to approve it. Inconvenient, but I said I would stop by on my way home then to try again. When I arrived the cashier looked at me and said he just left so again I couldn't make the return. I told him that it was ridiculous that I had to keep coming back and he proceeded to tell me it was my fault because I had come just before closing time and also that I should have paid in cash and this wouldn't be an issue. He was incredibly rude!! Since when is it the customer's fault that you can't provide appropriate services within your operating hours?! And I can pay however I want, that's why you have a debit terminal! AWFUL!
