We are so blessed to have wonderful teachers like miss Sarah Jacob (BCBA) and RBT specialist miss Shanda. It is not only the parents who recognize the work. My family and school also see their amazing efforts. They go with me to his school IEP MEETINGS. They visit his school and work at home. His (BCBA) is on top of everything. If I tell the teacher this is the problem nowadays, she tries to solve the problem and gives me suggestions and talks to him. They are wonderful I have no words to explain how amazing they are !!!!!!!!!! They do their job from the heart. They understand him. It is hard for my son to go to the doctor. Nowadays she is going with me to support him & teach him. He got good manners if he doesn't like something he will appreciate you for doing that and politely tells you about it. I recommend everyone brighter strides but you have to remember that we are a team we need to work together with teachers to improve our kids it is not magic that can be done in one day. It takes a lot of time and patience. I feel like they teach you life skills. They are not only to train kids. They are here to give support and teach parents. If you want to learn for your kid.

Rooms are cleaned daily. Meals are served in resident rooms during the pandemic. Nurses and staff are friendly, but lots of temps/floaters are used on the weekends and holidays. Physical and occupational therapy are provided by a mainly younger staff and scheduling can be a bit ad hoc. But I entered the facility unable to walk or even go to the bathroom on my own and by the time I was discharged after 4 weeks, I could do both. I was also able to transition to a regular diet during my stay. Therapists come to your room for sessions during the pandemic. There is a rotating menu offered to residents, with some alternate entrees offered. The food is above average for institutional fare and the portions are adequate. Long-term residents may become a bit tired of the food after a time, but I thought it was just fine. Set-up of the meal trays can be a bit inconsistent, but if any condiments or meal items are missed, the aides are more than happy to assist. All in all, I am able to give FutureCare Cherrywood a very positive review.
