Pics attached. Don't trust them to help you as their main motive is to make sure you walk out with a big bill. After seeing the card at Avalon, I walked to Sutherland Avenue to try to recapture the image (in my own style).

The shop was decorated for Christmas and I was feeling a bit envious that I could never get my house to look that festive, no matter what I do. But I did feel I could achieve a similar look with some help. I spoke with the florist who was sweet and knowledgeable, she gave me excellent ideas. By the time I got finished looking around the shop and acting on her ideas I left with a wreath and several poinsettias. Bloomsbury Flowers is a great shop and it is nice to have found a new shop that is near my house. The service is great and since they arrange flowers for every occasion it's the perfect shop. And thanks to the florist I've achieved a wonderful Christmas look at home.

Less than 24 hours later, my friend received the perfect and lovely bouquet! Very pleased and most importantly, the recipient was overjoyed! Thank you Mark and the team at Bloomsbury Flowers.

I remember going on a bike ride with a friend and this happened to be the day after I had a huge argument with my girlfriend, he suggested to call up a flower shop and send some roses, yeah cheesy, but it got the job done. He told me of Josephine's as he worked a few doors down at one time, so I called up the directories and got their number. When I called them up, there was a lovely voice on the other side of the line, I told her that I just had an argument with my partner and wanted to send her a some flowers. She gave me a few options that weren't exactly on the cheap side, but flowers aren't cheap. On top of that, I wanted them delivered. All in all I had a dozen roses sent for over £40, I asked to have them delivered at 3pm, and guess what, they were right on the dot! A great service. As is to be expected, the flower selection is best in the morning and on non-market days, when everyone and their dog seems to find it romantic to pick up a bouquet during their market shop. They carry an array of beautiful flowers throughout the seasons, often including unusual succulents, herbs, and even thistle and wildflowers, and will happily sell you a few stems of your favorite hydrangeas or tulips. But they shine in the arranging department as well. I recently had them put together an autumnal bouquet for my dining table. It was made up of rust and yellow dahlias, a lush purple wildflower, and springs of rosemary. It lasted more than two weeks! It can be a bit pricy (I paid 30gbp for the large bouquet mentioned above), but it's excellent value for money. And I don't say that often in London, and especially not of most of the businesses near Portobello Road Market.

Hustling and bustling, with crowds enticed not just by the gorgeous flowers but also the healthy green houseplants and the shockingly reasonable prices, Columbia Road Flower Market is the place to be on Sundays. Getting a late start (compared to others), my walk from the Elizabeth Line to Colombia Road had me salivating; it seemed that everyone coming in the opposite direction held beautiful bouquets, thriving houseplants, or both. Later in the day people were leaving with their arms so full of oversized greenery that watching them navigate their way down the street was comical. So: the prices are great, the selection is astounding, and everything looks fresh and heathy. Only a city with a population the size of London could pull off such a great and bustling flower market. Getting here is a cinch on the new Elizabeth Line and the route from there to Columbia Road is well-marked. The market theoretically closes at 2 p.m. but many sellers were still hawking discounted product past that time. Come early or late, but do come. It's a crowded, colorful experience for which America really has no equivalent.

What a genius idea it was to name this flower shop after the classic 70s broken-hearted ballad!
