Staff was pleasant and helpful. I ran in there quickly hoping by chance to find some scotch bonnet peppers for my Jamaican rice and peas after looking for them all over the south end for the last few months, sure enough they had tons and saved me a trip downtown to Dino's. This place is located just south of west broadway in a small building where the place is literally crammed with a million items. It's a bit of a sensory overload since I wasn't looking for anything in particular. There were lots of naan, pita and fresh injeera available! There was quite the selection of halal all beef salami, mortadella, and even bologna (who knew that existed as halal!). There were several types of middle eastern cheeses like halloumi. Lots of spices, canned goods, Turkish items, and frozen meat. Service is very friendly as one staff member offered to give me a tour of the place when I had more time. There were some prepared samosas and rotis (veg and meat filled) selling at the front near the cashier. Parking is available behind the store and on the side street for an hour.

I have some health issues that are unaddressed so I was trying to figure it out the natural way. I called to ask if an item had been in transit since I had to order it in because they didn't have it in store. After ordering it I did some research and wasn't sure if I would benefit from it but I didn't want to miss out on a sale for just that day. I asked about the product over the phone and I didn't get a sufficient answer so she told me she would pass me onto another person. However she only asked a question on my behalf so it just made her look more confused. She finally passed me on but i still didn't get the answers necessary for my need for the product. Eventually I had to do my own digging and tested out my symptoms to find that it didn't suit my needs after all. That part I don't mind but what made me realize is, they took it personally when they remembered they talked to me on the phone. When I came to pick up my product, I explained that I didn't need it anymore and would like a refund. I got scowled at by the older lady at the desk. She coldly guessed if I was picking up that product and said the other person would help me. I got an even more uncomfortable response when this younger girl made the transaction and asked what happened that I didn't need it anymore. I told her I took a DYI test (which I found out about on my own). Her reaction was like "Okayyyyy..." while rolling her eyes. That's when I knew they were the ones I spoke to over the phone. I prefer the Osborne location because it's got a better selection, better overall attitude and they don't keep a mental blacklist for indecisive customers like me.

When I lived in Rochester, MN, I'd often return to Winnipeg to import items. KitKat bars were one of them. So was Kernels popcorn. I was here on my first full day in Winnipeg. I wasn't sure whether I could finish two large bags of popcorn during my time in Manitoba. Instead, I went with two medium bags. There was a deal going on. If I bought a large or medium bag, my second one of equal size was 50% off. I had a nice woman help me with my order. She had another colleague popping popcorn. I looked at all the yummy flavours and went for the following: - Buttersalt - Chicago It look no time for her to bag my popcorn. She asked if I wanted a bag. I said that the popcorn bags have handles and I'd be fine. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I grabbed my bags, thanked the woman, and headed to my rental vehicle. The two medium bags lasted maybe four days. It was definitely before my trip was over. I'd unwind in my hotel room having popcorn. It was great! I should go for large bags next time. I love the buttersalt. It's probably my favourite flavour that never disappoints. You can't go wrong with butter and a bit of salt on your popcorn. Delicious! So light and fluffy. I like candy. No, I love candy. I had to check it out, as it was new to me since I was last at this outlet mall. I saw Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck. It was a game that emphasized cooperation. He looked so cute on the box. It was nice seeing jigsaw puzzles, taffy, and gum on the same display table. So much fun! It took me a long time to look at a wall with jerky and popcorn. It was my first time seeing caviar-flavoured jerky. The popcorn varieties were incredible. Whisky caramel stood out from the artisan kettle corn collection. I spotted Smuckers and Jif peanut butter and jelly Pop popcorn. I had to get a bag. There was a lot to look at. This store had a bunch of scratch-and-sniff stickers, both stinky and cheerful scents. I got a couple of Dairy Milk bars that were imported from New Zealand and Australia. The pink lemonade and chocolate malt flavours sounded yummy, so I got one of each. I waited in line to pay for my items. I liked looking at Care Bears fuzzy backpacks and beverages in the corner. An older woman, who was at the checkout, was friendly and thanked me for waiting. She asked me if I needed a bag. I declined, as I had a bag full of purchases with me. I said that the popcorn and chocolate bars wouldn't last long. She laughed. I was right. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and the transaction was complete. I placed my items in my bag, thanked her, and left. The Dairy Milk bars were delicious. I loved the pink lemonade and malt flavours. I devoured both back in my hotel room within a couple of days. The peanut butter and jelly popcorn was excellent. The grape jelly flavour was perfect with the peanut butter, as you'd expect from this combination. I just wish that the popcorn bag came in a larger size. This store was a great find.
