The people on the phone are polite and professional. The person at Bullet towing on 17th st e in Bradenton is one of the rudest and least professional individuals that you will ever have the misfortune to deal with. What should have been a pleasant and 2 minute interaction to allow me to retrieve an item from my wrecked car was instead was infuriating. He talks to women as if they were a dog, no greeting, only glaring at you and ordering you to sit, not responding to simple and normal questions or statements, instead only to mumble a partial question back and then getting angry. When I told him that I was blocking the exit for a large truck, he yelled back well they can just wait. As the truck continued to honk, I repeated it again that I am blocking the exit, and that I would like to go move my car, only for him to yell just do what you want. And then to say OK I guess you can move your car. The only thing he should have done was verify who I am and allow me to retrieve an item out of the car. Instead, I went to move the vehicle that I was driving and on the way took the item out of my car and left. He should not be employed anywhere that interacts with humans or animals. They lied to my husband and I each separately when we called yesterday about getting our son's car from them. We were told $252, $25 each additional day, $35 for after hours and by appt only. When my son went today, they charged him an additional $45 "administration" fee. I called to complain and ask why and was basically told "it was he said/she said" and that fee is always charged (as if I'm supposed to know that). No accountability for their lack of employee training. Maybe don't have them answer the phone if they don't know the policy. read more

My son rolled his car down an embankment. I arrived on the scene the same time the fire department did. I assessed the car to see what my next plan was. The car was totaled but the back tires had air and the looked like they could still roll. The fire department asked that I not get anything out of the car until the police got there. A trooper showed up sitting in his car gave word we can get things out of it. The trooper brought me my son's ticket and as he approached I said I've never had a car roll over before so do I call a tow truck myself and can I have it towed to my house. The trooper said No, I've already called a tow truck. It's on the report you will have to call them. The next day, my partner called Stephanie at bullet and they got into an argument. He stated that he would pay to have it towed to the house and he would pay for the towing from the rec side to the yard but felt that he shouldn't have to pay for the one day fee sitting on their lot because we originally wanted it to be towed to our house. I got on the phone with Stephanie and she said I should've told the tow truck driver what I wanted and I tried to explain to her that I didn't get that option and she just continued to talk over me. Stephanie stated that the trooper is very transparent and would not do that. Well, he did and I give him grace because he probably didn't realize that he was dealing with a redneck from Texas who grew up on a farm and has never called a tow company in her life but has always called her dad who was a cowboy turned truck driver and would bring his flat trailer to handle any car situation during my 45 years with him. The trooper is also unaware that I currently live with a Florida cracker who has been a mechanic for over 50 years working on anything from trash trucks to buses our vehicles, and was the head mechanic at a water treatment plant for the city of Bradenton who also owns a flatbed trailer and we haul our own stuff. I arrived at the office at around 10 o'clock. The car hasn't even been on the lot for 24 hours. I tell the gentleman at the desk that I am there to pay for the costs of the car and to have it towed to my house. The man stated he does not do dispatch and that I would have to call the Palmetto office have the car towed to my house. So I called dispatch and asked to have the car towed to my house and the woman on the phone Said that I had to go to the Bradenton office and shook my ID and show proof that I'm the owner of the car and pay all the fees. I rudely loudly said I AM AT THE OFFICE NOW Only because she wouldn't shut up. The guy behind the desk said she doesn't fucking listen. I agreed with him. The man interrupted and said I just need the total. The woman quoted $725. The man behind the desk said that I could could pay cash or Zelle. I asked the man do I stay on the phone with Stephanie or end the call and get on my bank account to pay it and he said are you fucking listening? The woman on the phone hung up. I asked if I could sit down in the chair and we both laughed about getting older and having a bum knee. I paid $625 in Zelle and $100 cash. He called the lady back on the phone to confirm that it has gone through and that it has been paid and she told him on the phone that she doesn't have access to that account and that he would have to try to get a hold of her dad. So I sat there, probably an hour waiting for him to try to get confirmation as he continued to try to call people adjust to get a busy signal or just no answer. He never asked for my ID. We sat there for an hour and talked about his daughter being on her third surgery from a car accident. He finally got confirmation of payment and said I was good to go. As I was walking out the door I asked if I needed to give him the phone number of my partner who will be at home to tell them where to place the car. He said you need to fucking tell dispatch were you want the fucking car. We deal with crisis and we are not going to come fucking knock on your door and listen to your fucking dog bark. You might get your car at midnight tonight. We are not fucking going to deal with this. I just looked in the eye for a few seconds, and turned around and walked away. I am not a soft cookie. I ran a shelter for two years and currently work with homeless veterans. I have dealt with being cursed out and even threatened. Yet this is the first time I've ever paid someone $725 to be rude to me. Call me a liar in around about way and curse me out for asking a simple question all the while my son is in ICU. I sent a picture to my partner of the receipt I was given and they miscalculated it by $110. They added it up wrong and they overcharged me $110. As I continue to work with the homeless community both in Sarasota and Manatee County alongside the sheriffs department and the police and with other amazing organizations that advocate for others I will not recommend this company. My parents were recently in a head on collision and bullet towing was the contracted tow company and was nothing but terrible and rude when we tried to retrieve my parents vehicle and trailer. Not only did the owner refuse to let my father retrieve his wallet so me may pay the towing fee but he then kicked him out of the office and told him that it was not his problem. My dad then had to wait outside on crutches while he waited for his Uber. Later when my father was actually was able to get his truck and trailer he had come home to all his tools "missing" from all his compartments on his truck. Alex and Tim are the best. They came and repo'd my dad's cars from his evil ex girlfriend after he passed, and she refused to hand over the keys. Alex and Tim put up with this awful woman for hours, and collected my two sport cars like professionals & absolute champions. Since the cars couldn't be started & we didn't have keys, these dudes moved them as delicately as possible, and since one was an antique Corvette, I more than appreciated how good they were at what they do. 10/10 recommend read more

Every driver I've ever dealt with at bullet has been super nice and respectful. Every truck I've ridden in has been newer and very clean inside. I am very upset with my service, it was the worst towing experience I have ever had. my driver John did not turn off my car after dropping it off which caused the battery to go dead. There was penalty of space in my driveway to park my vehicle where I had instructed it to be. The driver and owner both said that it would fit there and they would do it. ( others live here but they were not parked in the drive way). The driver was also super rude to my spouse when he was telling him where John needs to put it. He told him " it's your problem ". This is all documented. When I called this morning, the owner of the company I believe Chad said " it is your problem. Deal with it " then proceeded to hang up. I am super frustrated with this company, the customer service is horrible. when I called " 941-205-7506 " to put in a complaint/ try to get a solution. We had a horrific experience with their employee, Charles. We were trying to explain our car was in a legally assigned parking spot and he was very rude and wouldn't let us talk. He called us vile names and referred to my 16 year old son as names that would be considered hate crimes. He also raised his fist like he was going to punch my son. Blew a brake line while driving home one evening, thankfully I managed to coast into a parking lot. I immediately pulled out my phone and Googled a tow company. Saw Bullet Towing fairly quickly, so I called and was informed the driver would be there in 30 min. I was incredibly relieved when I saw the tow truck pull into the parking lot, not even 10 min after calling. Guy seemed nice, but once he had my vehicle hooked up he started the wench to pull it up onto the bed of the tow truck. Well It didn't work out that way, he hadn't pulled up my vehicle far enough, so when he hit the switch for the tow bed to level itself and get my vehicle on its way, I turned around to see my big F150 SLIDE OFF THE TOW TRUCK AND SLAM THE BACK END INTO THE PARKING LOT PAVEMENT. The edge of the tow bed was almost dead center under my vehicle so it destroyed the drive shaft..... super. I truly felt bad for the driver, he apologized and offered to pay anything damages etc. so I call the company right away and was asked if I was ok with the driver taking my vehicle to "their shop". I was promised that any damaged caused would be fixed, on them. I also was told "we'll also go ahead and get those brakes done ans anything else that needs fixed". So now I'm thinking either this company is made up of the nicest people ever, or I misheard. Called back about 5 min later to just confirm what I was sure I had heard already, and was told yes that they were going to do everything my vehicle needed , complimentary for the trouble. Ok so I call the office the very next morning the phone just rang and rang so I hung up. Took me 5 or 6 tries to be actually able to reach anyone. I explain to her what had happened ans what I was told, she informs me she'll have the owner call me in 30 min or so. Never got a call back. So I called them again. Same response ans an added "the owners out in the field so he's really busy"........ummm ok? She tells me she's going to text him to call me. Well, once again. Nothing. I called 2 or 3 more times and on the last try the office girl answers and says she told him to call me and that she didn't know when. So I decided to go down to the shop for the work supplies in my truck and to talk to this tow company owner. Guess who wasn't there? NOBODY. My truck was parked there yes, and it was at an auto garage, but it was NOT the tow company and upon talking with the owner found out that bullet has absolutely no ties to his repair shop business ....... NEVER use these guys. All I asked for was a call back and just for somebody to make things right. I'm a single mom I need my vehicle. They damaged my vehicle to the point where it was'nt drivable ans were now just blowing me off. I broke down on the side of the road and called them for towing. They took three hours to get there and was the lady on the phone Melissa was very nasty to me. I have never been treated with such disrespect for no reason. If she hates her job so much she should really look for another one. I'm sure she has had to have more compliants than just me.
