Nom nom nom veggy nom! This place has a selection of looovely looking vegetables including several different kinds of squash (the inclusion of kabocha makes me really happy.) The staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Oh! and there is a huge selection of cheeses at the back of the shop *droools.* Now I have found it, I plan to buy from here rather than waitrose. They have a lovely selection of salads / light hot food for lunch with an exceptionally fair price. I really liked my mixed salad bowl (though they sort of just mix everything you want in the same takeaway..kind of odd..) I think I will be coming here quite often due to the fair cost and quality ingredients. Great microsoda as well. read more

Bumblebee is a super organic health food shop. You'll find it in Kentish Town on Brecknock Road. There are 2 separate stores - one with bread, vegetables, other yummy stuff and even environmentally friendly cleaning products. The other has nuts, dried fruit, vegetarian and vegan dishes and even organic sweeties for the kids. Stepping into a highly healthy store is always a bit intimadating - but the staff at Bumblebee are friendly and helpful. Grab yourself anything from malt to organic cat food! A healthy body means a healthy mind and Bumblebee offers this is huge amounts. read more

This is a popular alternative place for quick healthy lunches as well as being a great health and natural foods shop, with a really good variety of products and most health related items. They do hot food, and a tub of mixed salads only comes up to a few quid, but you can choose how much you want the tub filled, which I found really useful. They have vegan pizza slices most of the time, as well as pies, and other interesting fresh and cooked food, jams, chutneys, nuts and dried fruits, pretty much everything. Great selection of organic goods, although sometimes some of their fruits and vegetables look like they've been dragged on the floor and picked up again. They should improve on stock rotation. Nevertherless, still a good place to shop. read more

Bumblebee is awesome for a vegetarian or vegan lunch - they have all the regular health food shop stuff but they also have a hot and cold deli where you can get a large box for £3.95. You can get a selection of whatever you want in the box, they always have hot vegan options and there's something different every day. Beats a sandwich anytime! read more
