Without a doubt, Bunker Coworking is the best coworking space in Playa Del Carmen, and maybe Mexico. I give this place my highest recommendation. Here are the six reasons why: 1. Blazing fast internet speed. Consistently over 140 Mb DL/ 20 Mb UL. They do not throttle or place unnecessary barriers to entry (other spaces require you to re-input a password if you're idle for five minutes or so). 2. Ambience. Bunker caters more to people who are trying to get shit done. While they are very friendly, the overall atmosphere provides for maximum productivity. 3. Comfort. Their space is brand new and so is the furniture. I'm very fond of real wood surfaces they have here and the ergonomics are perfect for me at 5'10", 240 lbs. 4. Excellent Staff. The staff is amazing. They are friendly, helpful, and extremely attentive. David in particular is a standout here. 5. Fluent English-speaking staff. If you're new to Mexico or do not speak the language, this is the place for you. Not only is the staff fluent, but they always offer much-needed advise on the area and Mexico in general. 6. Pricing. Their pricing is very affordable! ******************* That being said there are some caveats: 1. The place is brand new and the community is great but very small which, to me, is advantageous. This may be an issue for people looking to network. It is excellent for people who need to get a lot done though. 2. There are no pets. Again, to me this is a huge advantage. Fast internet and it's super close to where I was residing. My only con was the overall layout. It felt extremely tight and with COVID, I obviously would prefer a little more space. I was also concerned with the only bathroom being upstairs and you had to go up a tight winding staircase. Not the most accessible lol. But it did the job! read more

I loved to support Mexican owned businesses, and I wasn't too pleased with the other chain non-local co-working spaces in Playa Del Carmen. However, when I walked into Bunker, I was greeted by Gabriel and David. They both spoke fluent English and showed me around the place. I was so excited and loved their energy that I didn't even go for the trial run, I just signed up right on the spot. I worked at Bunker for a little over four months, and David and Gabriel didn't treat me like a co-worker, they treated me like family. Language barriers, logistics, and other cultural differences make it difficult to get settled into a new home. It was even harder for me, since I was traveling solo. However, Gabriel and David held my hand every step of the way. They helped me in more ways imaginable and smiled the whole time doing it. Wow! My experience at Bunker was nothing short of amazing. In fact, Playa Del Carmen, and Bunker is now my go to place if I want to just get my beach on for about two to three months. I have to honestly say that I loved it there.
