We live in Playa and they live in 3 different USA states, so getting everyone to come at the same time was such a challenge. However with the Covid situation all of our plans were pretty much ruined. We contacted Rentals Your Way, as the condos where we were planing to stay are managed by them at Cozumel. They were so nice and tried their best to help us. Also they are thorough in answers which makes it much better especially if you are at a place where you don't speakk their language though it could be a tourist spot sometimes it gets overwhelming The rooms are as-is you see on their website or airbnb or any third party websites.. its cheaper if you book through directly on their website, as probably they would save the fees that they pay to third party sites. The hotel is quiTe neat and clean overalll and gives you a boutique feeling for sure. We booked a suite with sofabed and queen bed.. they are very caring about the planet and try to put it in a nice manner so tourists would understand how we can save certain things in a good manner. Breakfast was beautiful, and guess whAt its vegetarian/vegan - yes you heard that right. Its not authentic but then atleast youu know you have options. Did i tell you the breakfast is going to be served right in your room. i would come back here for any stay next tiMe I am in Playa. Cozumel scuba diving is the best but the staff was very personal and pleasing in every way. Each condo has its own gas grill and patio but the guests ended up sharing time together grilling and relaxing by the wonderful pool in the evening after diving all day. The Villa Diamond K Cozumel has extremely high walls covered with tropical vegetation to keep the outside city noise non existent. Douglas is like the Grandfather I never had, he has lived on the island for 30 years and built the Villa Diamond K Cozumel from the ground up. It was a wonderful trip. I will return. My condo kitchen was actually nicer than my own kitchen at home and the bed was one of those adjustable ones I would not buy for myself because I am to cheap. Douglas spares no expense for his guests. Some of the condominiums have their own washer and dryer, others the staff will provide the service at little to no charge. For larger groups breakfast and evening beverages can be provided. All in all it was a great find and I have visited Cozumel many times how I missed it all these years was my loss. Location is good if you like being close to the Avenida 10 for the nightlife. Close to everything. Beachfront. Cons of location: close to beach so people there all night long, close to Avenida 10 so it's loud all night, roosters next door wake you up early every morning. Keeping mind cars don't go down to the front of the hotel so you'll have to walk a few blocks with your luggage for arrival/departure. Amenities: so so. Our safe didn't work but they fixed it the next day. Our TV didn't work all 5 nights we were there. The fridge is too small, the bathroom is tiny and not private. You literally have 2 inches away from your knees when sitting on toilet, small like airplane toilet. There are no phones in the room which is annoying bc if you need anything, you have to go down to the front desk to ask. One of the two elevators was out of service. Bathrooms in lobby and rooftop bar are tiny and dirty. Although they have usb plugs in the rooms, some are so janky that they don't work or are falling off the wall. The mirror in the room was literally hanging on by a thread, we thought it'd fall for sure. If you get free breakfast make sure you get a ticket each morning for the restaurant before ordering food otherwise they won't comp it. This is something the front desk agent failed to tell us when we checked in so we had to argue/fight for our free meal with both the FD and with the restaurant. Poor communication. The rooftop pool is disgusting! they said the water is green bc of chemicals they put in it and told us to wait two hours for them to dissolve. The water stayed green and I swimmable the entire time. We had to buy a day pass at another resort to be able to enjoy a swimming pool. There are no lounge chairs to use on the beach, that's falsely advertised when booking this hotel. The beds were surprisingly comfortable but the rooms/hotel are outdated and could use upgrades/renovations. Like I said in intro, you definitely get what you paid for so don't have high expectations. It's not a dump but I wouldn't give this higher than a 3 star rating. The WiFi in the hotel was down/slow the entire time!

There's a $20 per person fee for "gym access, breakfast and 15% bar discount" however: the gum is A FEW BLOCKS away and we didn't use the reportedly poor breakfast, so $40 for nothing 3. The room: outdated, not clean, shower head didn't work (had to use the small side hose) 4. There's no jacuzzi, the pool was really cold 5. Only good is location that's why a 2star Would not stay there again or for more than 1 night

OMG!! We just returned after 7 glorious days here in Cozumel. The condo was way more than…read moreexpected. EVERYTHING we needed for our vacation. Water was hot and a/c cold. The furnishings were nice and beds comfy. We especially enjoyed snorkeling on our own beach. The condo has a bar next door so even had great on the beach bar service and the restrooms there were super clean. This is our new destination place. Very clean and very safe. VIVA MEXICO!

As someone who travels and has stayed in a few in the area. I can say the value and staff friendless makes up for the older hotel. The place is big, and the pool area is ample. Across from the park for events and they usually sell all types of foods from fries to street corn. Less than a 10 minute walk to the beach. Far enough and close enough to 5th Ave to enjoy it and be able to sleep through it.

Convenient and affordable place to stay while in Playa del Carmen. My family has been staying here…read morefor many years. Enjoying the closeness to 5th street as well as the beach (each just 1 block away). Apartment living means you can prepare meals at home if you aren't up for dining out. Multiple convenience stores are just a short walk away while Walmart is about a 20 min walk (1 mile). 24 hour front desk staff mean you can rest easy knowing only guests of the apartments are entering the building. Multiple stairwells allow you to get in some extra steps, and the elevator is also available to those who aren't up for walking the stairs. The first floor gym is flanked by beautiful plants giving it the jungle feel. AC allows you to feel comfy while you work out. The tv let's you distract while using the cardio machines. Entire building is super clean and the staff are also very nice. Word to the wise is to make sure not to flush toilet paper. Instead throw used napkins in the trash can - trash chute is conveniently located just next to the elevator. Highly recommended for a long or short stay.
