I booked a 120-minute massage at Bunkhouse because I had been dealing with significant neck and shoulder tension and was really looking forward to getting some much-needed body work. I arrived for my 9:00 a.m. appointment and was greeted by the hostess, who spoke very little English. She showed me to my room and instructed me to lie face down. A few minutes later, my massage therapist came in. Before she began, I explained that I was experiencing a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and asked if she could focus on those areas. She replied, "Yeah." Unfortunately, the massage was not what I expected. It became clear to me that she did not seem to have the techniques I would expect from a licensed massage therapist. Much of the session felt like repetitive rubbing rather than purposeful therapeutic body work. Throughout the 105 minutes, she repeatedly left the room, which made it difficult to relax or enjoy the experience. The facility itself was clean, and she was pleasant and kind. However, I left feeling exactly the same as when I arrived, which was the most disappointing part after investing both the time and money in a two-hour massage. As I was leaving, she told me, "You already paid for your massage. You just have to tip me." I was caught off guard and asked, "Excuse me?" She used a translation app on her phone and repeated the same statement. I felt very uncomfortable and, although I tipped anyway, I left feeling pressured rather than appreciated. If you're looking for a relaxing spa experience or need therapeutic body work to address muscle tension, this may not be the right place for you. While the facility was clean and the staff were friendly, the quality of the massage and the uncomfortable interaction at the end left me highly disappointed. read more

l've been here multiple times for a couples massage with my partner, but after today's experience we will not return. First, my underwear were pulled completely down without asking for consent or even warning me. This was deeply triggering for me as an assault survivor, and is not at all acceptable professional behavior to begin with. After I pulled my underwear back up, my "soft pressure" massage turned into knuckles digging into me despite my repeated requests of, "softer, that hurts." She then cut our time short - I paid over $200 for a 1.5hr couples massage that ended at a little over an hour. I usually tip, but I didn't plan on it today due to our experience (and I wanted to get out as quickly as l could). The lady STOPPED US at the door to demand a tip. "Pay tip, you have to pay a tip," as she angrily pointed at the sign up front that says, "Tips are greatly appreciated." I was so distraught from the experience that we hurriedly handed her a 20, which I regret. I will never return and I have contacted every friend I previously referred there to warn them. read more

The massage is great. The look and the smell of this place could use some touch ups. It is very old and the sheets are miss marching. The floor is creaking and it seemed like a rummage sale going on in there. If I didnt know it was a massage place I would assume it was a thrift shop. read more

This is definitely a hit or miss experience. Mostly miss. I've gone several times due to the location and reasonable prices. One amazing massage, several meh's and the last... I was praying for the torture to end. I had the misfortune of getting Brutus. Despite my repeatedly voicing that the massage was too hard, she continued steamrolling my body. It was actually hurting! I'd gone with my daughter who had the opposite experience. There were a lot of distractions, phones ringing, the masseuse was in and out of the room, etc. There's no consistency. It's simply luck of the draw, whoever happens to show up for work that day is who you end up with. I'll pay a bit more and get a consistently professional experience from here on out. read more

I have never had a business encourage me NOT to do business here! This was my first time, as a customer; and I tried to book an online appointment for a massage. FIRST, you MUST put in your credit card, which is charged immediately, whether you show up for the appointment or not! SECOND, the darned website stuck when trying to "verify" my credit card. When I tried to back up and start again, it froze! I then called and talked to a very condescending man, who just said, " I don't know anything about that!". He acknowledged that he saw my order "in progress" but other than that, "he did not know! I acknowledged that that, in fact, was me, but everything is frozen. Instead if saying, well sir, I apologise, but I see you are attempting to book, and I can finish it right here, or I am sorry Sir, please just close out everything online and I can just book you, or even I see you are the one "in progress", don't worry about it. Come in on the booked day - instead, in his belittling tone, he responded, " Look, what do you want me to say? I don't know!". He then proceeded to tell me he can call me day of and if it goes through, it goes through. Either way, he never sounded like he wanted my business, and now,, no doubt, my card will be charged and I will have to deal with THAT hastle! Right off the bat, I was disgarded before I even had a chance to experience the service. Watch out when considering utilizing this business! read more

Great experience! What seems to be a norm of having to add on face and foot and hot stones at other places, is the norm here. Susi and Lili were amazing, very knowledgeable and friendly. The service is amazing, but you honestly cannot beat the price. One thing to note, Groupon shows a deal, but if you book or order from the actual store front or website, it's actually $30 cheaper. 10/10 recommend. read more

Unfortunately this was the worst massage I have ever had. it started with the security monitor in the massage room. Next I was only given 1 sheet... no other blankets. the actual massage was not organized. She did not concentrate on one area at a time. No pressure applied. my teenagers could have given a better massage than I was given. For the 1st 20 mins no lotion was applied. She used the sheet as the barrier to massage me. After that oil was applied that later seemed to activate the hot stones and burned me. I love heat, but this was burning hot. My feet were barely rubbed she she did the karate chopping motion on some areas. I was exposed multiple times as there was a male masseuse in the room as well massaging my husband. She lifted my legs up in all different ways to stretch. At one point she was on the table all fours massaging my back. It was awkward, uncomfortable, and not relaxing. Will never go back! read more

I was touched inappropriately, by an older male staff member. My boyfriend and I went in for a couples massage... We both look younger, despite being in our late twenties, and I do believe this was a contributing factor; that being the reason I bring it up. The first major red flag: they gave him a female masseuse and me, a male. Why? There were no other customers, and they had 2 other woman who were seemingly available to do my massage. At any spa I have been to they will always ask permission before a man will do your massage, or if you have a gender "preference". There was none of that here. I should've walked away at that point or requested someone else, but we had appointments and my boyfriend needed it, so decided against saying anything/leaving right away. I am not a confrontational person (took me awhile to work up the courage to even write this review), and the language barrier at this business makes it almost impossible to communicate with most of the staff as well. They start working... immediately the man was rough and spent MOST of the time rubbing my upper butt and "upper thighs"(exactly how/where you're thinking)! Despite my saying my neck and upper back were the issue. I would feel violated the same if a woman touched me this way. It was invasive and disgusting. He also left way more than half my buttocks exposed (all of it, basically) for MOST of it as well. I pulled up the towel twice when he stepped out of the room, and it would not stay where I put it... He also did not cover "between my legs" AT ALL while working on my lower half. I was sick to my stomach during this. He was also breathing extremely loud. My boyfriend even brought up the breathing afterwards, and how it was so loud he could hear it, even from the other massage table... Still have not even told my boyfriend about what happened, because I feel guilt for not stopping the session immediately or at least telling him that night. But what I can tell you; I haven't gotten a massage ANYWHERE since. Can't stand the thought of it or the thought I paid them for this "service". Despite this, want to be 100% transparent, boyfriend had no issues, even quite enjoyed his massage that night. Another thing I want to bring up, is the number of cameras at Bunk House Massage. The room that we were brought into had LARGE televisions, displaying all of the cameras throughout the property. This is the room we actually received the massage... Why would you work on clients in a room hosting all your CCTV feeds? I don't know if this place is just genuinely uneducated on proper conduct in a "Spa/Massage" setting, or if what I went through was intentional. But either way, it needs to be addressed, and I hope no one else will ever have this experience. read more

Although I asked for a 90 minute deep tissue and got a 60 minute Swedish massage with hot stones, it was still amazing. I was totally relaxed and worked out some knots in my back. Looks like they remodeling a bit inside but room was very clean and ambiance was relaxing and inviting. I will definitely go back. read more

Great massage! There was a little bit of confusion because we thought we were getting the regular full-body massages, but once we were on the tables they asked us if we wanted strong massages and we both said yes. When we came out we were told those were deep tissue and that is an extra charge. We didn't mind because those ladies worked hard and the price is very reasonable for a deep tissue that even included back walking and hot stones, but if this is something that would bother you, it's something to keep in mind. Amazing massage business! As you first walk in it's very inviting and clean. The staff is kind and the massage was one of the top 3 I've ever had. If you're not used to Asian massage practices it may catch you by surprise with hot stones, and deep tissue techniques like walking on back. I left feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated.
