    Day spa is The Remedy

This was exactly what I needed today. In the middle of crying and packing to move, my best friend calls me up and says "meet me at Remedy in three hours" (not the ideal time) but self care is important when stressed. ;) Oh boy , did I love this and may be hooked. I highly recommend this spa and the people are super friendly as well. It was clean, quiet (we did the private soak), there is drinking water, hot teas, and a serene relaxation lounge. The smell of the blooming plants right now is out of this world awesome. Also, there is a public soak as well available. You get a locker for your stuff, they provide flip flops, a robe and a towel. All clean fresh and peaceful. It was a much needed break in my week. Go check it out. If you went alone you could read and relax it's quiet.

Last minute decision to spend time here while awaiting a flight home. Receptionist was THE SWEETEST, funniest, most helpful woman- hooked us right up, friendly greeting, rearranged the soak time because we arrived late- no Ubers. WONDERFUL private soak and cold pool. Sat in the pretty, serene courtyard and ordered food. Chris, another attendant, brought us the food, offered us drinks, checked on us throughout our stay matching the SWEETEST woman from the beginning. Was just going to rinse off the chlorine but the products in the shower smelled so good i had to bury myself in suds for 15 minutes. Best decision of the whole trip! Already told our friends who are coming to town next week to put this on their itinerary!

This place has a ton of reviews, so I'll make it short and sweet. Beautiful facility, with a lovely and relaxing atmosphere that I could enjoy all day. They're attuned to clients' needs and, had they been more generous with towels (they provide only one, and it gets soaked after the first shower or dip!), provide almost everything you could want for the day... except maybe a snack menu (but they do have trail mix and dried fruit at the tea table!). Staff are very pleasant, serene, and inviting (including the kitty-cat), with calming and helpful vibes. Services had some higher prices than I tend to go for, and I was a little disappointed by the lack of oomph with the massage and the facial that consisted of not much more than a massage and moisturizing treatment. If mental health therapy treatment is what you're after, you'll probably love it here. But if you're looking for bodily therapy treatments, you might be a skosh underwhelmed.

Happy Valentine's Day to me folks! My girlfriend got us massages and a soak for VDay! Wooo Weee what a treat. I hate to say it but I've never been one to get massages on the regular, but after visiting The Remedy, I've never wanted to be a regular so badly!! This place left me feeling refreshed, mellow and relaxed! The soak was a perfect finish to the session. Hot steamy bath and romantic vibes.

For first time students you buy your first class $16 and get a second class free. After that you can buy discounted punch cards. The studio is small, and the class was full. I agree with other reviewers, it got HOT! Hot and pregnancy don't mix well. Almost an hour into the class I was starting to feel nauseous and was going to leave, but one of my fellow students also spoke up and the teacher turned on the cooling system. Whew! (Next class I'm going to ask for the cooler sooner!) There are several teachers and I haven't had a class from everyone and once had a sub teaching. I was kind of disconcerted that there wasn't any music playing, the room was very quiet. The instruction was good, and lots of props were used for support. The teacher also made a huge effort to learn our names, check in with us often, and offer more props/supports if needed. We also went around during the class to introduce ourselves, tell what week we are in, and what we are struggling with which helped the instructor to give personalized advice. After the class several of the ladies chatted and shared information which made the class feel like a community. I was happy to meet other first time moms! I will be back throughout my pregnancy!

The AC or swamp cooler was taking a long time to respond. I went to a prenatal yoga class, which was awesome. They have tons of props to use to support growing bodies in many different poses. Also they offer a student and teacher discount, which is awesome.

If hot is not your 'thing' - they also offer room temperature classes, so win-win for everyone. I don't think anyone else in town offers such an inviting deal. I really look forward to strengthening my practice again, and seeing this studio grow. It was a hot yoga class (though more like warm yoga), which i think is their jam, but it was slow, low impact, and meditative. Stephanie introduced some fun postures that I don't see as often and I wasn't totally warn out afterwards. They seem to have a variety of intensity levels, and at least two evening classes during the week. The studio is spacious, airy, with high ceilings and the requisite wall of mirrors and laminate floors. There's plenty of space to accommodate easily 20 students or more. My class only had two students, which was awesome! Nothing worse than having to squeeze in to a sweaty spot! The music was well curated, not too hippie-dippy-Yogi, with a great energetic flow for the hour. The temperature was just warm enough to bring me to a good sweat midway through the class, and not so overbearing as to be stifling when I opened the door to the studio, or suffocating during the work. All in all, it was a really great experience, that I found a killer deal for on Groupon (Hashtag protips!): $31 for an unlimited month. But even without the Groupon i think it's only $85 for an unlimited month, and that's a screaming deal for yoga in Albuquerque! Stephanie's studio is so charming and relaxing, the attention to detail (plants, artwork, statuary, a fountain to stifle ambient noise) is really well thought out to bring maximum serenity feels. And Stephanie herself is as lovely as a business owner gets. I definitely recommend Yoga Vibrations to all of you Nob Hill Yogis.
