As I sit on our plane flying home to the US, getting caught up on Yelp reviews, it's nice thinking back to the great meals we have had over the past 10 days. Our last meal wasn't Spanish, but Asian, and something surprisingly different. We returned late to Madrid, to a hotel close to the airport. Where can we eat that is close? Yelp helped, and we walked over to Tuk Tuk, an eatery with table service. The menu listed many Asian dishes from around the region. My wife ordered Pad Thai, which I got to try and enjoy. I ordered The Bun, what I thought was a pulled pork sandwich with mayo and a few other things. When my Bun arrived, I saw that the bun was sliced differently, or maybe there were two buns. Anyway, it was not sliced like a sandwich bun. Knife and fork time, and what I found was every bite, from the soft bun to the filling in the center, was great. Turned out instead of just grabbing something to eat, we found someplace pretty cool. It was loud, a group of younger customers came in and livened the place up. The owner stopped by to chat with us.
