Just a few things she definitely didn't learn from us: -"agua," "buh bye," "night night" -"all done" with sign language too -the sign for "milk" She also gets so much exercise and outdoor time on the play area and has learned how to climb up and push herself down the slide. We love that the app keeps us updated with photos and other events throughout the day (all food, diapers, naps). The staff also keep us updated if there are any sicknesses going around or if the group is going through anything challenging (like the biting phase!) and what they are doing to address it. Now that our baby is eating solids we love the convenience of all of her meals and milk being provided (included in the cost!). The meals are well-rounded and it's so cute that they all eat together at a table! I think it encourages my baby to eat more when she sees her friends doing so. We also love that they keep the cohort together and how the teachers move along with the kids from room to room as they grow. I am not sure if this will continue into preschool, but just having Miss Mariela from the infant to toddler phase has been a true blessing for us. I can't tell you how many times I have showed my mom friends the app or told them about the things AOP offers and they say "wow my daycare doesn't do all that!" It takes a village to raise kids these days. The first part is finding that village, and the second is finding one to love your baby like family. We have found that in AOP. They truly care about your child like their own

Every day our kid is so excited to go to daycare that she's literally banging on our front door to get out when we tell her it's time to "go to school" haha. She is our first child, and it was difficult to think about leaving her with someone outside of the family, but our parents live in other parts of the state and we both work. We visited several daycare facilities before choosing Ms. Irma. When we met her we were immediately attracted to her warmth, responsibility, genuine care for children, and decades of experience. Looking back now, I'm so glad we made the choice to go with Ms. Irma. She is so consistent. This was very important for us; we had tried nanny shares in the past and so many nannies would cancel because they were sick or had obligations with their own children, or other reasons. Not Ms. Irma. In the two years we have been there, I can't remember a single day when Ms. Irma has closed unexpectedly. She has a schedule of standard holidays that are off and couple of weeks for the winter holiday, but other than that she is open every day. So reliable. Ms. Irma works incredible hard. Honestly I don't know how she does it, I wish I was as hard working as her. She is open early in the morning (7am) until 5pm in the afternoon. You can drop off and pick up your child anytime within that window. Healthy meals are provided with no extra cost to the family (again such as big plus for us bc our family is very busy and not having to worry about packing lunch is so helpful). Her space is always clean and orderly. She has a very high standard of cleanliness and wants it to be safe for the children. The days are well planned. There is free play, circle time, arts and crafts, lunch, nap time, etc. My daughter has learned so much at daycare (she calls it "school"). She has learned her abc's, to count beyond 30, to rhyme words, to spell her name, to read sight words, sounds associated with letters, and now she is learning to write letters and to blend sounds together to make words. She is now in love with reading. Ms. Irma takes the children through a structured curriculum and they are always doing a unit on something interesting--from famous artists to the life cycle of different insects--our daughter has come to understand a lot about the world that we haven't had a chance to talk about yet at home. The children also do an arts and crafts project each day and everyday my daughter proudly brings home something she has made. Ms. Irma treats my daughter as a member of her family and she tries to foster a sense of community among all the families who send their children to her daycare. She is trustworthy, honest, and loving. Thanks for everything Ms. Irma!

We feel like our kiddo has learned a lot about community and herself. There are some downsides, as there are everywhere. I don't love the location, right off a busy road, and there's been some teacher turnover, but the school feels really safe behind gates, with a lovely outdoor play area, and there's been a lot of continuity with other teachers. We're headed to TK soon and are really, really bummed to leave the BunnyBears family, but are so glad for the experience.

This school is exactly that - they put so much effort into giving the kids freedom to figure out who they are and explore their interests, all while teaching them how to be good friends and kind little humans. This is not a traditionally structured preschool - you won't find worksheets or desks, but you will find a Reggio style environment that intentionally allows the kids to lead. No school is perfect, but it's clear the teachers are all trying their best to create a safe and open environment for the kids. Teacher Donna, Teacher Linnea, and all the other teachers, have had a huge impact on my son, and we can't thank them enough. We'll miss the sweet little BunnyBears community!

The teachers are incredibly loving and thoughtful. I especially love the fact that they celebrate birthdays and holidays and create opportunities for parents to get to know each other, too. My child has grown by leaps and bounds, and his interactions with the other children are fun to see. The fact that meals are provided (bfast, lunch and snacks) is a godsend. Several daycares/preschools in the region claim to be Spanish immersion but aren't actually (e.g., they speak English to the kiddos). At Lulus, I feel like we get a truly authentic Spanish immersion program for our son, knowing instruction is exclusively in Spanish. And it shows. My son 100% understands Spanish when it is spoken to him and he mixes Spanish and English in his vocabulary regularly. I credit Lulus for a large part of that bilingual ability and look forward to seeing his fluency improve in the years to come. Highly recommend Lulus!!

I picked this location after meeting the staff and dropping in to see what they actually do with the little ones. His last day care was a home based location and he ended up being the only older child there. I wanted a place where he would be around other childern his own age. I found it here. They provide lunch and 2 or 3 snacks. For some odd reason my son does not like cheese so they give him crackers or apples as a sub. I also like that they are always doing a project or coloring something dealing with the season or theme that they are going over. He loves his day care (he calls it school...hehe) and loves to show me what he created in "school". The teachers are very nice and the kids love them. The price is right and so is the location. They have 2 different play areas. I'm not sure what the age is for them but my son is 3 going on 4 and he is at the top play area (bigger kids from what he tells me) and the lower play area is for under 3 maybe. They also have 2 indoor play areas for the big and little kids.

I have asked to tour and each time I'm met with "we are too busy". My review of a one star is based on the fact, I can't seem to get any information from the learning jungle - La Mesa location, and that makes me uneasy to ever enroll my children here if I was ever given the opportunity. At first I was told that they could do an in person tour (in January 2024), but I could do a virtual tour, and so I opted for a virtual tour and they went as far to attempt to schedule me, and then they told me they will be too busy to do a virtual tour until March 2024. Just seems odd and like you all are missing out on potential future families enrolling. Kinder-care San Carlos and Child time La Mesa on the other hand are extremely transparent and easy to tour and ask questions of.
