Gelateria del Borgo is truly amazing and in our top 3 for the entirety of the trip. Usually very busy but the line moves quickly. Super nice staff and plenty of seating just across. Most gelatos in this part of Italy are more soft and airy this specific gelato is rich and creamy, almost wet. Pistachio is great, dark chocolate is awesome and unique flavors like Toblerone the family loved. Highly recommend. Make the walk to the top and don't have the tourist trap gelato at the bottom of the promenade here in Bellagio.

Lake Como had some of the most overpriced, overrated food but that was expected. You do not pay for the food, you pay for the view. We were on a private boat tour with our great guide Luca when he recommended we stop in Lenno for gelato. We stopped at La Fabbrica del Gelato and it was truly out of this world. The servers were so kind to give us their best reccs, and I am glad we sought their advice. From the texture, to the natural flavors, I was blown away at how good it was. This is a 5/5 hidden gem in a place where you do not expect great cuisine, and it was surely the surprise of our trip.

One thing we didn't love: we were asked if we wanted dark or milk melted chocolate inside our cones, which sounded like it was included. It turned out to be an extra €2 each.
