It might be good for some people but for me, the place was very small and seemed like it was catered to older people. I had a feeling i would not like the sessions there, but I waited anyway and did my evaluation then 1 more session after that. My first appointment there it took over 45 min before i saw and talked to the therapist, and i did have an appointment made already. After asking a few questions and checking my range of motion, which took less than 10-15 mins top, she was done. I still went back for one session after that, and after doing a 45 min session, which 15 mins was done on the stationary bike, then the rest of the exercises on a bed, i knew i would not go back. The person assisting me with the exercises just told me what to do and left the room. They did not stay to watch and correct my posture. The person that did help me and the receptionist were great, but i just felt like i would not get better from my treatments there. read more

Date of visit: February 19, 2025 Experience: Brought my dad here for his first visit and was a bit nervous internally cause I usually do not bring my dad to these kind of things. But had to step up cause my mom was out of town and my brother was working. There was no handicapped parking right in front of the location considering this place deals with providing physical therapy. Fortunately, there was parking in front of the facility, so I was able to get my dad into his wheelchair and wheel him to the place. Dad's appointment was at 1:30PM, but we got there a couple of minutes earlier just in case. When we entered, we were greeted by Elisa (not sure if I got her name right lolz) and she assisted us right away while her coworker, Lucy (so bad with names rofl), was helping another customer. We had maybe about 8 or so forms to fill out since he was a new patient there, but Elisa gave us good instructions to follow for each form and we sat down in the corner of the lobby as she scanned my dad's ID and insurance cards. She even moved out one of the end chairs so I could roll dad into place next to me in his wheelchair. As we filled out the paperwork, I noticed people coming in and out of the facility that were greeted with a genuine hello and goodbye with a hint of conversation and compliments for each of the customers as they called them by name. It was fun to watch too after we turned in our competed paperwork. We probably were see a bit after 1:30pm since we had to finished paperwork and the PT wasn't ready to see us just yet. So Hanna (not sure of spelling) was the PT that saw my dad and we had his evaluation in her office. She was very knowledgeable and made the info she was giving my dad easy to consume that he opted into continuing with wanting physical therapy at this location. She checked his range of motion and even demonstrated some exercises he could do while laying down till he comes back to his first physical therapy session. After the assessment, we were told to go back into the lobby to schedule an appointment with the front desk and that a plan of action for his physical therapy will be ready for him when he comes back. Elisa wrote out my dad's next appointment on a card for him after he decided which dates he would want to do. Overall, I was getting a lot of good vibes from this place and it was great seeing the interactions they had with their customers. Really hoping that this will be beneficial for my dad in the long run! read more

Great staff, amazing front desk. Little different than prior experiences with physical therapy. In the past, I have had one person who walks you through all the exercises. At Burbank therapy they allow you to do your exercises at your own pace. It's nice becuase it gives you the confidence to do them at home but still a little interesting. read more

I am so grateful to have been sent to this place. It is a gym for healing, we all have different injuries and the staff is wonderful. I like that there are students finishing their hours before certification and experts in the field to assure we are getting the best care. I have been receiving PT now for two months and although it has been a slow process, I have began feeling some relief and release with a bit less pain and less tension. I appreciate learning all of the different exercises there are for my particular injury and have invested in a few of the therapies to use at home :) I hope to continue and get to the root of the problem. I love this office so much I referred my dad to go there too. You can get all kinds of services for respiratory, rehabilitation after surgery or if you have had an injury. The equipment is all updated. The staff are very kind and accommodating. The receptionist is the best I have ever encountered. She practically memorizes and knows everything about my care & needs. She is lightening fast to set appointments. I have never seen her get angry or disgruntled except maybe when she thought I was taking too much Halloween candy and I was. So she was right. The office manager is expert at her joy and helped me to navigate the healthcare system so I could get the type of therapy that I needed. The best part. The kindness thats she js that's sets her above any place I've been. That's saying a lot. I am not overstating this. 5 stars for this place because Ilissa, the office manager took our case on personally when our insurance rejected the office visit we had there. She spent 2 hours on the phone with BCBS trying to get us and Out of Network auth for their facility. We were not able to unfortunately. There are VERY FEW PT places who specialize in Pulmonary Rehab and when we had no luck with our insurance company for the Burbank Therapy Center, Ilissa stepped in and helped us find a place our insurance covered from a list she personally compiled over years. She didn't have to, but she did. If that isn't an example of the kind of people who care for their patients, I don't know what is! Thank you Burbank Therapy Center! LOVE the care that my father is getting here! My 90 year old father has COPD/Emphysema/Heart Disease and he's been struggling with breathing. He's gone from 1 liter of Oxygen to 4 and I noticed he was declining. It was making think he wouldn't be around much longer. I was able to get his pulmonologist to approve Pulmonary therapy and that's how we came to the Burbank Therapy Center. And THANK GOD we did. It's a drive for us (because the local place no longer offered it), but WELL WORTH IT. After seeing what they've done, I'd drive even further for their care! Burbank Therapy Center has amazing staff members - from the Office Mgmt (Ilissa) to the front desk (you'll come to adore Aly and the fact that she doesn't miss *a thing* and she's super duper kind) to the therapists who *really* do care about the patients. From the moment we arrived, we were treated well. My dad and I sat with both the Occupational and Physical therapist intake specialists and got a lot of tips. THEN, we got to meet the amazing therapists on the floor who have been going out of their way to ensure my dad's therapy yielded improvements (Alex and Evelin are the main two he works with...and he adores them (so do I). Gohar is sweet and has been great as well). We've only been going there a couple of months and my dad is improving!!! He's doing well on 2-3 liters of oxygen!! For anyone who is on oxygen or has a loved one on oxygen, you understand how huge that is. We've learned SO much from our new friends at Burbank Therapy - we take the 'homework' seriously and try to get my dad to practice the breathing techniques and do the at home exercises as much as we can. This place is the Best Place to come for Pulmonary Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy!!!! If you have COPD, Asthma, Neck, Back, Hand, Wrist, Sciatic pain or a POST COVID patient as I am. I say come here! This place is clean, safe, and they have tons of equipment for you to work on. Believe you me, I have been to other Physical Therapy places and they do not compare to this place!! Alex give you a plethora of Breathing exercises that will help you accomplish your goals. The Pulmonary Physical Therapist and The Physical Therapists are experts at there job. They are insightful, helpful, kind, compassionate and encouraging. They help people of all ages. I personally have nothing good to say about the receptionist at this facility, she must certainly could use some lessons on her manners and people skills., she is unbelievably rude, no compassion and does not care, I would never recommend this place as long as she is working at BTC in Burbank. She has caused me terrible anxiety and delayed me in receiving physical therapy on my knee, and now need to wait for a new referral. Thanks PS I will make sure I inform all my friends about her. I started going to Burbank Therapy Center to see if they could help in reducing my terrible knee pain. My orthopedic surgeon suggested such therapy before turning to injections and/or surgery, yikes! Anna in the front office is great; She always greets me with a smile! I work one on one with Gohar; she is sweet, extremely patient, and knowledgeable. My pulmonologist thought Burbank Therapy Center could help me with my respirational issues, and I tried them out. I am still going there and I think they are great. I was concerned that exercising or even walking could drive down my saturated oxygen to unacceptable levels. By working with me on breathing techniques coupled with various forms of physical exercise, the staff at Burbank Therapy Center showed me how to exercise and actually increase my saturated oxygen levels at the same time!!! As a result I feel physically stronger and in better shape than when I started there about 3 months ago. For me this has been a fantastic result. I am also very pleased with the staff, at all levels. Without exception the staff is friendly, kind and helpful, and it has been a pleasure to interact with them. I've been going to BTC for nearly a year, and I enjoy the social interaction plus the beneficial treatments. Patients of different ages and physical problems talk, laugh and soon become "therapy friends". After a visit to the BTC I feel renewed by the comradery with my therapy friends and the warm welcome and caring of the expert therapists and staff. I came to BTC when I was recovering from pneumonia, and fighting COPD. After 3 months, and 3 two hour sessions a week, I feel like a new person. My doctor ran extensive breathing tests on me last week. He was very happy and excited to inform me that the results were so good, one couldn't even tell I had been sick. The staff at BTC are excellent. The go above and beyond at teaching this .They are very skilled at teaching us the art of respiratory therapy. Very disappointed with my experience here. I had about 10 visits and I was only seen by the physical therapist one time through the 10 treatments. You can tell that this facility doesn't care about the well being of their patients. They make everyone do the same experiences, instead of customizing a plan to actually help with individual needs. Avoid this place. Don't waist you time or money. Go somewhere else. read more

Even though I stopped smoking three packs a day, over 30 years ago, I wound up with COPD. I couldn't walk from my apartment to the mailbox, and back, without having to take 10, 15, or more minutes to recover, often having to use oxygen to do so. After only a few months at the center, I can now walk for 12 minutes on a treadmill, ride 12 minutes on a bike, and do 12 minutes on an arm bike, all without struggling to breath afterward, and I keep improving each week. I also had trouble with my balance, and that has improved, too. All of these is due to the great staff at the center: not only professional, and knowledgeable, but warm and friendly. If you have breathing problems, make sure your doctor sends you to the Burbank Therapy Center. And when your insurance runs out, I recommend the maintenance program to keep you in your newfound healthier condition. read more
