Thanks to this wonderful article here, https://thoughtfulflamingo.com/home/2018/7/5/the-good-finds-the-best-lisbon-vintage-and-sustainable-fashion-stores, I found out about this store. The store is on a beautiful classic cobblestone road in Lisbon on a row of other vintage stores. I loved their curated selection and ended up buying two pairs of Levi's shorts (medium and light wash) and a beautiful winter plaid trench coat. They also take credit card! Definitely recommend this place to those looking to bring back something different home from their travels!

Wow. Amongst the things I didn't even know that I was pining away for, add an 8-story+ department store that is everything to everyone. We entered in a very high-end part of the store featuring all the luxury brands one knows then descended to a food court and movie theaters. From there, I moved on to explore the amazing lower-level supermarket before leaving there and strolling into the beauty/pharmacy department filled with products that both are and aren't available in the US. I took the escalator up, eyeballing what each floor held before disembarking at a floor featuring home furnishings, electronics, housewares, and Christmas decor then got together with my friends for a drink at a wine bar on the top floor. Someone else could write a book on all I likely missed here but what I saw guaranteed that from here on I'll be searching for El Corte Inglése in every place I travel. If you think it's odd to have a department store on your must-see list in Lisbon it's clear that you've not yet been to El Corte Inglés.

I went with friends, 4 of us, so we were advised that it'll be a few minutes until someone could assist us, it was no problem, they said we could browse around the 1st floor (not upstairs yet). Mind you, we're dressed very casual for a day out and about and with our backpacks. Within a few minutes, Miguel came to introduce himself and from there it was a delight. One of our group showed interest in a wallet and he immediately pulled out all the different colors and styles in that size, let us handle and compare, no problem at all. We didn't feel rushed, or pushed, he was so graceful and fun! We ended up purchasing a handbag and 2 wallets, we were able to get hot stamping on everything we wanted... Miguel was wonderful.
