    I accompanied my husband to his appointment today with Dr. Kipreos. This was the first time seeing…read morethis doctor. I was grateful that the practice was able to work us in on such short notice. The nurse doing patient intake was very knowledgeable and efficient. We had a short wait for the doctor but considering that the appointment was last minute that wasn't an issue for me. Dr. Kipreos was extremely detailed and attentive. He asked detailed questions and made sure that we had all our questions answered. He prescribed a new asthma inhaler and made sure that we understood that even with insurance it would be pricey. He advised us to ask the pharmacy if the Rx would qualify for Good Rx discount. This advice reduced our out of pocket expense from $264 to $152 for the prescription. The pharmacy did not offer that option. I had to ask for it. Kudos to Dr. Kipreos! After meeting with the doctor, we moved to a different area in the building for X-ray and bloodwork. The medical professionals we worked with were awesome. One offered to bring me a wheelchair for my husband and that made moving around the facility so much easier. Around 5:30p we received an email from Dr. Kipreos following up on the labs. All in all this was a good experience.

I ended up…read morewith a bill because I was charged for two visits because the NP asked me questions that I answered. This is dishonest and a bad way of providing services. I've gotten different answers about the double dipping of charges, but no resolution. If I can't trust the medical provider, why would I let them make decisions about my health? I got stuck for the $17 dollar mental health fee also because I used the online pre-visit check-in and answered the questions. Something similar happened the prior year so I was ready to prevent it this year. Still stuck me. Just to follow up....after speaking to the Novant billing department they will make sure the office puts up more signs to notify unsuspecting persons they will double bill you if you answer questions. I've worked with Worker's Compensation for over 30 years and not seen anything quite this dishonest!

Today we arrived for his appointment a few minutes early and only waited about 5 minutes before his name was called. He very much enjoyed the great sense of humor demonstrated by the nurse taking his vitals. The appointment went fairly quickly and we were able to leave. I'm pleased with the quality of care he receives at this practice. They appear to be very thorough and are very responsive if we have a question between visits.

Can be a bit of a winding around to get to. Customer Service - 3 ok this visit, but they have posting about violence to staff. Got to wonder. Pricing - 3 medical is high anywhere even with insurance. Restrooms - 2 need to ask to use. But clean and well stocked Cleanliness- 4 lobby and areas seen are very clean. Seating- 2 very crowded on my visit. I am not a fan of medical facilities in general. I don't know anyone who is. However, some are a better experience than others. *The experience generally consists of the arrival component, how you are treated when you first arrive. - this visit was good in that piece. *The next component is the initial wait to be seen. This can and does go both ways in different places and or visits. - this visit was reasonable. *Next is when they take you back to the "treatment area" emphasis on "treatment ". Many places this is a dumping ground where you often wait and wait and wait with no update as to when you will be seen. - this visit this wait was 10 minutes. Reasonable compared to other visits. *Next is interaction with the staff. While professionalism is important, it is also important to treat people as people and not a "widget". - this visit was a widget experience. *Next the closure of the staff "treatment " where things are explained and questions answered. Staff should but rarely keep in mind that most patients are not medical personnel and need much more clarification on proposed future treatments and outlooks. - this visit was an example of what needed improved. *Finally the financial aspects. Most assuredly one of the most critical areas that most medical institutions muck up royally. And frankly this is the fault of said institutions! Convoluted, murky pricing mechanisms are the result of corporate corruption within a field that should be the most transparent of all life experiences. The disaster that is failing medical institutions is wholly their own fault. When do you go to the grocery and pick up items to buy, take them home and then find out what the costs are? The reason pricing is so difficult is because the institution is trying increase profits through non transparent means. - this visit my insurance paid. Not all people are as lucky. So overall, this visit was good. I have visited here before with marginal results. I recommend going with a smile and good manners and see where that comes out.
