They state it has to be after the temp plate expires. All paperwork is in order. I go to get temp and they deny me this time because I'm not the owner. Funny, 30 days ago it was ok. My son explained I would be the one coming in again, and they said no worries. Now im there and no deal and now he doesn't have a legal vehicle and will have to take off work to figure it out. I understand why they denied me, but why was I able the 1st time and why did they say it would be OK yesterday, but its not OK today.

Abigail was especially helpful and friendly and even though I was in a wheelchair everywhere in the building people opened the door for me and treated me with respect, as they did the other older lady like me in a walker. If you have resided in other states as I have be prepared for perhaps some hiccups. I lost my license and needed to obtain a replacement. Even though I've been a resident for over 10years now, I needed to contact my home state and Springfield to be able to obtain a license. In working with the supervisors finally I was able to get it all squared away but I was sent away twice in one day over nothing but a system error. When all that needed to happen was a very nice supervisor (guy) needed to do was call Springfield to clear-up the systems error. Fixed in 2 minutes. I do not know anyone that loves the DMV but I will say I like the fact that it is a predominantly black facility with ample parking and even though it took me 3 tries over the course of 5 hours to get a license. I would still probably go back just much better prepared. I haven't had a need for this service since 2013.
