Jag minns hur sugen jag var på att testa den omtalade vegoburgaren. Så blev det aldrig. Även om jag numera sällan äter (vegan)burgare eller annan snabbmat pga det oftast är så flottigt och snabba kolhydrater otillfredsställande, så blev jag så nyfiken på att ändå testa Babas vegan-burgare när de numera öppnat i Jakobsberg. Förutom de fantastiska sötpotatispommesen (spröda, krispiga, perfekt friterade och generös portion för 35kr) var besöket en besvikelse. Vegan-burgaren på Impossible Foods växtbaserade burgare (ärtprotein) var ingen höjdare. Pommes fritesen hade en märklig konsistens av halvfriterat och segt. Det var inte en upplevelse värd 145kr. Grafittin på väggarna var av märklig sort, först trodde jag att det var en kvinnofigur som putade med stor byst. Sen en magerlagd man med ölmage. Till slut förstod jag att det var en gänglig kille som höll fram en burgare. Olyckligt val av färg på burgarbrödet... Restaurangen saknar helt sopsortering så allt som kan och borde/ska slängs istället i samma soppåsar. Hela tiden pumpades högljudd hiphop i högtalarna. Den hyfsat stora lokalen ekade helt tom förutom oss två vid besöket. Kanske var vi där efter lunchrusningen, kanske prioriterar folk inte att äta ute numera, kanske föredrar de andra matställen i närheten. All and all, en redigt deppig upplevelse faktiskt. Ovärt.

The place is busy, and that's understandable considering how good these burgers are. So it takes a bit to get your burger, but once the plate was in front of us, we felt it was worth the wait. It's been a while since we were there, so I don't recall what we got, but they were standard-type burgers, but far above the standard in execution. The buns were perfect for the burger and the burger was just the right combination of flavorful "crust" and juicy interior. It's probably NOT worth moving to Stockholm just for these burgers, but... is it?

The hamburgers were delicious, super juicy and well cooked, and the sauce was fantastic. I would definitely recommend.
