The lunch rush was wrapping up as I pulled into the parking lot. Main tables were still full but were clearing out. When I walked in, I wasn't totally sure if it was an order at the counter or seat yourself type place. For those reading this after, you can just seat yourself and a server will bring a menu by. The locals that came after me got a much warmer welcome than I did, but it was great to see that this community is tight-knit. I ordered a hot dog with chili, mustard, and slaw and a bacon cheeseburger. Everything came out pretty quickly. The hot dog had a nice chewy bun but the chili had a flavor to it that I didn't love. Maybe a spice, cinnamon? I not sure but it wasn't my favorite. The burger on the other hand was really good. I think it's simplicity is what makes it delicious plus a really nice serving of bacon. :) I got a slice of peanut butter cake to go.
