I think that's partly because there ain't any other decent pubs on queen street (that I can think of) and it means everyone heads here. In other areas it might not be my first destination, but where it is it ranks quite highly amongst the places I would stop for a pint if passing. I got one with broccoli and delicious cream sauce, as well as the soup of the day (which was corn chowder.) That plus a breakfast tea was a perfect combo. The staff were super helpful explaining the options and deeply apologetic when they had an issue with the printer and couldn't get me my receipt (which wasn't a big deal at all.) I've only entered through the little alley way but this time we left out through a door that takes you directly onto the street area. It looked like theres a hotel up the stairs in the lobby. Maybe there's a hotel or it could just leads to different businesses. It's a cool bar restaurant that's pretty much known in Glasgow. A mixed crowd that's there for all the same things, grab a pint and have a good time.
