The Bleachers - BBQ ribs with pickled ginger, fried onions and sesame seeds with a side of cabbage slaw. Amazing.

(I am fructose intolerant so was wanting to swap their special sauce for plain mayo) I had a double cheese burger which had loads of cheese and the sauce was not overlying prominent. Chips were chunky and not greasy at all. They have a couple of decent beers on tap which was an unexpected bonus

A crispy fried chicken "patty" in a sweet American-style bun, and it changed my life. I started a burger club, I dreamt of this burger, I recommended it to all of my friends. It was the holy grail of burgers... but did I have my beer goggles on? The second time I visited, it was a Tuesday lunch date with a girlfriend, and I have to say I felt like I had met my favourite celebrity in real life and my illusion was shattered. It was a great burger, don't get me wrong, but the earth-shattering awesomeness was definitely muted. I was dismayed. Still, a one-all result prompts a tie-breaker, so a third visit was required. You have to give a place the benefit of the doubt, especially on a Tuesday. The third visit, the decider... after a long walk, I managed to talk the other half into abandoning our sad salad plans for a burger, and with a Burger+Chips+Beer for $20 meal deal ($16 during the week), it was easy to do. I also wanted to try the soft serve: Espresso on this occasion (I was hoping for Miso Sesame but they change each week). The burger special was The Reuben, and my gosh, it did not disappoint. Layers of pastrami, pickle, cheese, and all the right things in a brioche bun with a side of crispy chips and a schooner of Stone & Wood. The soft serve was A+, and a generous serve for $5. Yes. Redemption.

Considering that a Cheese burger will set you back $10.9 you're basically paying $2.1 for a beer! The burger is amazing. I always made the mistake of expecting complicated flavours in a restaurant Cheese Burger but the humble CB works on limited ingredients that stand well on their own. Cape Grim beef, American Cheese, onion, pickles, STREETsauce and ketchup on a brioche bun; this burger delivers. Side note, it doesn't come with any sides. The Cheese and Bacon Loaded Fries was to died for. Very generous with the bacon and the molten cheese sauce had us licking our fingers. Extremely pleasant service and the front of the restaurant is open to the street so you can enjoy the fresh air. Indoor and outdoor seating. I particularly enjoyed that wooden panel and red light look. Great burgers, comfortable restaurant and cold beer... who could ask for more?

Ordered drinks - both food and drinks came out reasonably quick. Taste was good, chips on the side were excellent. No drama - food good - just right - easy.

I went inside and ordered a cocktail for her, a beer for myself, and a basket of sweet potato fries (that I was told were vegan). The fries were pretty tasty, but I was afraid to try the aioli (the menu didn't call the aioli vegan). The blues band started at around 7:30, and we liked them, but I think that they were a little too loud for Uncle. I'm sure that the next time that we are in town we will pay a visit. Thanks for the shout, Uncle!

Price is a bit on the high end of average, about 15-20 for a main and about 7.5$ for a smoothie. Presentation of the food is awesome. They definitely know how to plate. Instagram worthy food presentation. Food quality is great too. Had the screen door which is friend chicken and an egg on top and it was savory with great sauce. Juicy fried chicken. Coffee was good too. Mortgage breaker which is smashed avo sounds simple but was presented very well with some surprises of seasoning. Great place to come and chat and catch up with friends.
