I've had a super great experience here, and another just like warm. First time I came, I legitimately had one of the best burgers I've had. It was perfectly cooked and tasted so good. It's been awhile since I've been here and a lot has changed. Their menu has other options besides burgers now! I thought they were the same as the one in American fork but apparently it's different. I ended up getting their tika chicken sandwich. Which was a tika masala sauce with peppers and chicken as a sandwich. It was pretty good. Bread was soft and sauce had a good flavor. Burger was okay it was the "hot pants" burger.. We used to really enjoy their fries but they were not as crispy as before and kinda just meh. Overall it was okay! I'm loving the concept of the elevated food hall with better than average food. That's what I found at Burgers & Barley in the Mountain View Village shopping district. They share the building with maybe half a dozen other eateries and a common seating area-just like you would have found in any mall in the 1990's. But it's got a nicer vibe to it. The staff were friendly and quick to get our order made and delivered to our table. My wife had a burger while I opted for a child's chicken finger meal since I had the appetite of a three year old the night we visited. That burger did look mighty good, but the chicken fingers were tasty too. The fries were a little odd-I should have snagged a photo. I didn't really care for them, but that could be personal preference. I'm torn on the menu-I appreciate when people stick with a theme, but I would have loved a salad option or something on the lighter side. Do not waste your time! The food was good a year ago, but something changed! Came with my daughter and ordered her the "Sliders" off the kids menu. What came out was one tiny burger. The picture online shows two, and with the word sliders being plural, it implies more than one. When I asked the person at the counter why there is only one burger, she said that's what the manager said to do. She even brought the "cook" out and he said that's what the manager has told him to do in the three weeks he's been working there. I ordered the Aloha burger and it was disgustingly!! They burned the pineapple with some sickly salty sauce. Seems like something that was prepped ahead a long time ago and kept in the fridge. The onion stings were cold and soggy, and I would have had a better burger at In and Out. Fries do not come with the burger, so for the price this place is a huge rip off!! It's apparent they're hurting financially with all the short cuts and deceptive menu descriptions. The price is also not worth sitting in a mall food court that smells like a bathroom. This place is in kind of an odd mall-ish type area and a little tucked away but do yourself a favor and go here instead of Stack 571 Burger across the way. This place tastes way better and is half the price. The two ladies (possibly sisters) that own this particular franchise location were the ones that helped us and they were very kind and accommodating for some of our requests. The food was delicious, I ordered the Outlaw and the Spudalious Fries (I would order the regular fries next time). Will eat here again read more

Had a great experience here. I didn't know what time they closed and me and my wife walked in 2 minutes before they closed and Jacob and Austin were so nice about it and made us top notch burgers and wen my above and beyond with service. They even closed everything up and were walking out and I bugged them for a box and they got it and offered more water and sauces. They were so nice and genuine and made great food. read more

Burger was great and the portions were good. I loved the option to sit outside and the facilities were clean. The toppings were generous on the burgers and the fries were good but a little soggy from how saucy they were. If you're looking for a good burger for a decent price this might be a good option for you. Definitely a gourmet meal. Definitely going to visit again soon. read more

First of all--get the home fries! Crispy, yet soft inside, they are everything you love in a potato chip AND a fry. Seriously so good! Secondly, but in reality as good or better than the fries, are the burgers, which are juicy and flavorful in the way you want your burger to be. I had the Good Life, mmm delicious. My husband had the Gorgonzola burger and oh my--Amazing! So much umami! This restaurant is in a food court-type location and sports counter service, so it's perfect for grabbing dinner before a movie, or when you are hungry for amazing food without the extra price and fluff of table service. I've been to Burgers & Barley twice now and was blissfully happy with both visits. My first visit was in the summer and the big windows of the dining area bring the outdoors to you without being out in the heat. My most recent visit occurred during a snow-storm, and while not a "cozy" location, there are plenty of tables and room for parties of all sizes to gather, as well as intimate nooks scattered around if you want some privacy. read more

We were actually on our way to the burger joint across the street... But seeing as it was a busy Friday night, that was going to be an hour and a half wait. We decided that was no big deal so we were going to walk around the mall, but something caught our eye. Assign right across the parking lot for another similarly named burger joint... Burgers and Barley! We entered the small cafeteria like dining setting, and noticed that this place seemed pretty new, there weren't many reviews, but what people did have to say, was really great so we decided to give it a try. The fries here really stood out, they are like potato wedges, mixed with potato chips... Kind of weird, but served perfectly soft, warm and delicious. The burger was four out of five, I really didn't love the peppers, onions and jalapeños... They just didn't see that fresh. But the actual patty was cooked. Awesome! It tasted great! One more suggestion, they should set up some sort of water dispenser at the counter, so guest can refill water cups without having to ask the employees for a refill. Delicious food! Lots of it. Prices are getting so expensive these days so comparatively it's not that expensive. (only a couple bucks more than what Wendy's or Arby's is charging for their combo meals.) The french fries are cut in a unique way. They were delicious and tasted very fresh.
