I ordered the smokehouse burger which came with bacon, BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese and dried onion slices. I opted for Texas Toast. For my side i ordered three fried green tomatoes. My order was a pick up to go. The burger was absolutely delicious. The patty was well seasoned and all of the flavors of cheese and BBQ sauce and the meat went well together. We settled on brisket nachos for an appetizer and they were a perfect blend of brisket, cheese, and crispy nachos. Just had lunch at your restaurant in Madison, Ms. Placed an order for 2 adults dining in. Placed a to go order at 12:41 before we finished our meal and just received at 1:21. We sat right in front of where you order and we were watching your employees bag each to go order. Our name was not called. Finally asked the employee who took our order and she said it's ready but again our name was not called. She said they are always called. We could have not heard but I am 99% sure they didn't. Absolutely disappointing and disgusting! I ordered a smash burger, fries, brisket nachos, and a Coke. The only thing with any flavor was the fries. The brisket nachos looked unappetizing, with tough, unseasoned meat. It looked my dog threw up on top of it. The burger was equally bland with zero seasoning. Even the Coke tasted off -- overly sweet and flat. I honestly don't understand how this place has over 4 stars. I went in for lunch with 5 coworkers. I ordered 2nd and found a table. Everyone was served before me and when I asked about my meal the server disappeared. As went to the counter to inquire about lunch the pulled my burger out from under a heat lamp saying we were waiting on fries. That's not true they keep a pan full at all times. When they passed it over the cheese looked like hardened mess and the burger wasn't even correct. The manager said just give his money. I came for the burgers. I have to preface this review by saying I am a burger snob. IMO the perfect burger has to have the right proportion of meat to bun. While I have to say that the meat appeared to be fresh patted out patties which is a plus. However it bugs me when the patty is not round....mine was more L shaped....The bun was too much bread for the patty but maybe it was the I'll-shaped patty. I tried the sonic boom burger. I liked the jalapeños on it but it would be just as good without them being fried. The burger was good but it's not my favorite burger in town and I think it is expensive for what you get. Went in today 12:17 on 3/15/25, and saw a heavy set caucasian guy playing with his cell phone and eating on the line. What makes it even worse, he started messing with food and didn't change the gloves he had on while texting and looking at his phone. Unless you sanitize your cell phone it can be one of the most dirty things ever. That guy could really get someone sick or worse. This is sad because my daughter and I deemed this our little spot. Went here for lunch with my daughter. It's got that barbecue spot vibe. Very casual. You order at the counter then take you cup and fix your own drink. Take your number and pick your own seat. I got the Comeback Burger and it was delicious. It had everything I ever want on a burger: fried green tomato, pickles, bacon, cheese and caramelized onions. It was obviously a fresh burger patty, cooked perfectly. I usually don't care for fresh fries because most places don't take the time to twice fry them so they get crispy but these were great! Burger patty was dry and barely warm. Appeared cooked quite some time before we arrived despite the place teeming with customers which would lead one to believe that the food would be fresh and hot due to the level of customer traffic. Asked for tots to be extra crispy. They were not and were barely above room temperature. Had fried pickles for appetizer. They were inedible salty but they did bring another order (which we did not request) unseasoned which were good. However, we were full from the burgers by that time so the second order went largely uneaten. Three burgers with tots, fried pickles, a beer, and one soda - 80 bucks. I would like to give this place a second chance and will certainly improve my rating if they can do better. I really hope they can. Nice set up. The smell of food hit you at the door. Sort of crowded being that it was lunch time but my order didn't take too long to make it for chow time. I'm a brisket fan so of course I had to get some and it was dammmmm good. Oddly, it wasn't steaming hot but had a build to the intensity of its flavor in a good way. Going back soon. We ate breakfast here twice while in the area a couple of weeks ago. The first day Everything was perfect...perfectly cooked eggs, bacon and biscuit. The Second day(different chef), I decided to try waffles and they tasted like they like they had been cooked beforehand and warmed over. Lukewarm, not appetizing at all, and they were chewy. as a vegetarian, if I order a veggie burger for takeout, I would like a veggie burger. especially since the garden burger patty was an extra $2 and I asked for ranch and cheese, which both are extra edited to add that I talked to people on the phone and they were very polite about it, and said the burger often looks like a real burger. Just ordered the BNB "add bacon, American cheese, and can my onions be grilled" cashier said "sure", but after receiving the burger, it had only those items on it. Took it back and she was very apologetic and they remade the burger. Took this one to the house because I just knew they wouldn't make a mistake twice, get home and bite into a baconless burger. I called to see whether or not I paid for bacon because if so just refund that portion since I didn't get it! I was told "the kitchen manager said he did put bacon on your burger" well just tell me I am lying then! She stated that she would put my name on the list for a burger the next visit, but to receive lukewarm fries both times plus cold queso, then to be called a lie, today just isn't our day! I am not one to make a complaint and usually just deal with bad service but the 1st time visiting a location and to receive that level of service just doesn't sit well with me.
