Definitely not the best and freshest burger I've ever had. Went in for lunch on Saturday and let me just say for a family of 4 (preteens) it was $96. Wife had a salad, I had a single burger, one kid had brisket plate (brisket was as dry as powdered dirt) one kid had plain smash burger that he didn't even eat. I've had better burgers cooked at a gas station to be honest and for the money just not worth it and we won't be back to this place. My wife and I went in tonight to grab a bite to eat. The service and food were absolutely fantastic. I had the Bacon Jam Sliders which Skyelar had recommended and my wife had the Comeback burger. The one thing I did not agree with was an older man raising his voice and using curse words towards two of the young females working. No matter what his issue was, I hope that kind of behavior from a customer is not approved of by management/owners. read more

As always, the aesthetics caught my eye; that's me! I drove by several days later, and the outside walk-up bar and the extreme white of the building caught my attention again. So, that night, I met a friend for dinner. The waitress was great; she suggested a few favorites on the menu. We decided on the Sonic Boom Burger, which is quite loaded, but the grabber for me was the fried jalapenos and hot pepper jack cheese. We also added the Brisket Nachos, 8 Smoked Wings, and the Fried Pickle for the appetizer. But the problem with what we ordered was that the food was cold and dry. I'm not going to go into detail because I know this could have been a great dish. I know because we took all three dishes home and heated each in the microwave. Now, it was good; I could taste the seasons sprinkled on my burger, the cheese was melted perfectly on the brisket nachos, and the wings were yummy. We are new to the area so we decided to give it a try. We walked it and the staff welcomed us in. Incredibly friendly. Offered suggestions and made sure we had something yummy. We ordered, grabbed our drinks and found a great booth in the back. The music was great. Etta James, Billie Holliday, etc. Our food came out quickly and everything was as we had ordered it. The bbq pork was on point and the bun was the perfect accent to the pork. The sauce was good. Store bought but tasty. My husband had the Blue Cheese Burger and fries and the fried pickles. He said they were a bit too salty but they had good flavor. All in all we were very pleased with our dining experience and look forward to going back soon. read more

This was my first time at this location in several months. I do not know what changed but keep it up. My food was ready when I walked in (I ordered online). Staff greeted me when I came in. The food was fabulous. The burger had so much flavor and was juicy (this is totally different than my last experience). The fried pickles were perfect! They now have full service on their patio. They had live music tonight and was not overpowering. I could hear the person at the counter talking and not having to speak over the music. We will be back soon to dine in. Breakfast - I've been to Madison and Flowood locations 2 times in the last three weeks. To the owners, if you sat down and had your food prepared in less than 2 minutes at either of your locations at 8 am and had the staff bring out overcooked stale hash browns, stale and hard biscuits that were reheated, scrambled eggs that were definitely not made fresh, (charging $2 bucks for an extra egg). I think you yourselves would have some serious questions about your cooking, prepping and serving process. Make the breakfast feel special, to me it feels like it's all pre-prepped and not prepared fresh. It's not busy at either locale at 8am. So I'm not sure if it's because the kitchen staff is prepping for lunch and dinner. But good lord, bring in a breakfast staff that cooks breakfast! I.e. Pelahatchie Bay, Beagle Bagel Cafe. And get real OJ! If McDonalds can do it, I'm sure y'all can too! Bottled OJ sucks and it's a dead giveaway for a breakfast diner! Ambiance is always nice here, maybe in the mornings put on a news program. Make coffee free and market that y'all serve breakfast. just put some real effort into the breakfast menu and preparing the food. It's not like y'all have a lot of competition, Jo's, Another Broken Egg, BBC and Pelahatchie Bay! Costs: way too high for prepped food. 10 bucks 3 pancakes? Really? I rarely review a restaurant when I have a less than stellar meal, as one should not speak ill of anyone. However, due to how much we spent on our lunch, I felt it incumbent to write a review. My bacon jam smash burger was indeed lovely, and none of our party had complaints about the quality of the burgers. My wife and son had the tater tots, and they were nicely seasoned and perfectly crisp. The disappointing side was the potato salad I ordered. I am rather fond of good potato salad, so it was quite saddening to taste what I was served. It was oddly sour, as if it had gone off. I could not finish my portion. My son also tried to order a dessert, but they were sadly out of the cookies required to make the dish. He was disappointed but he did get a lesser choice. Overall, it certainly wasn't a bad experience, but considering the price it was less than expected. For 12+ dollars per burger, I had hoped for something more satisfying. Perhaps we caught them at a bad time. We will come back to to try their breakfast options at a later date. Of course, your experience may well differ from ours. read more

My wife and I visited this location tonight for dinner. While we have had nothing but wonderful experiences at the Madison and Brandon location, our experience at the Flowood location was awful. I ordered the dirty chicken sandwich, which comes with fried chicken, pepper jack, cheese, ham, bacon, and white barbecue. When my food arrived, I was given a chicken sandwich with just mayonnaise. I took a couple of bites and realized it was not what I ordered. The guy who took my order passed by, and I told him that it was not what I ordered. He came back about 10 minutes later with a cold slice of ham, and said that was all that came on the sandwich--emphasizing that it did not come with cheese or bacon. I pulled up the menu on my phone and showed him what all was supposed to come on the sandwich. He walked away without saying a word. My assumption was that he was going to correct the mistake. We waited about 15 minutes without hearing anything before asking the bartender to speak with a manager. When the manager came by, we told her what had happened. Without apologizing, said she knew we were frustrated and that she would check the receipt to make sure we did not miscommunicate. The fact that she never revisited the table, on top of the worker's earlier statement, verifies this was not a miscommunication. About 10 to 15 minutes later, a guy dropped a to-go plate on the table. That was that. At no point did the manager or anyone apologize for the weight staff lying to us about what came on the sandwich. They attempted to gaslight us into not complaining about being given the wrong food and then tried to avert blame for the mistake. I never send food back and at no point during this exchange asked for or expected a refund. I simply (and politely) asked them to give me what I ordered. It was so unprofessional and petty that I couldn't believe it was actually happening. If you want a good burger and experience, do yourself a favor and drive a little further to the Brandon or Madison locations. read more

Service was terrible! I had to go ask for silverware, then go looking on my own for salt & pepper. Sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon & there was no bartender in sight, which is why I had to keep going around looking for things on my own. I ordered a Black & Blue burger with tomato & lettuce. The tomato was the tiniest part of a Roma tomato evidently (practically no tomato) & the lettuce was floppy with a big brown spot on it. The ketchup was like water, very runny. I will never go back to this restaurant. Their old location was so much better quality & the atmosphere was great there but this one was just BAD all the way around! I think they have bitten off more than they can chew with 3 locations now because if they are all as bad as this location they are not going to draw people in past the first time. If the service & food quality was better then they could justify the high price of a burger. read more

Absolutely love bringing my family to this spot! Excellent service and hospitality. Always something good for the kids! Their breakfast is never short of outstanding and it's always plenty to eat. The atmosphere is fun and energetic with the blues and rock playing while you dig into some awesome barbecue or one of their many signature burgers! They've even got some creative cocktails and local draft beers that are always cold, flavorful, and fresh. Lots of tvs and plenty of sports playing. I think this place is great, there are not many restaurants like it in the area. The food has a great taste to it and is really flavorful. That being said I do think the prices are a little high but thats with everywhere nowadays. The customer service is great and the restaurant is always clean and neat.
