As there are not many burger places in and around Alkmaar, i was delighted to find the recently opened Burgers & Zo in the inner city of Alkmaar.
Service:
Speedy and friendly.
Food:
I've tested a typical normal burger, and these are my findings:
- Bread: Crispy but not too hard for a burger, but just right.
- Lettuce/Vegetables: Lettuce is diverse and fresh, with a nice bite to it, and the combination is good. Tomatoes are fresh, the pickeled cucumbers are tasty, not too sour and also crunchy.
- Meat: The meat is fresh with a nice recipe for the mix, a medium fried burger still remained juicy enough. Solid quality.
- Sauce: Complements the rest of the burger well,
The place itself:
It is located at the edge of the inner city of Alkmaar, close to at least 2 parking houses and a bus stop. Take out is possible and will be packaged very well. Elegant interior, nice to sit inside as well. Very clean.
Menu:
Quite a bit of variety for burgers and more, with the Wagyu burger being a bit of an eye catcher. Will try that next time. There are also other things on the menu, such as vlamish fries, made from actual potatoes etc, also on my ToDo list.
Pricing: Surprisingly moderately priced, considering the quality delivered. Others charge more for less.
Overall: 4 stars out of 5, because there is ALWAYS room for improvement, and i haven't tried the entire menu yet. read more
