It's everything a north coast beach should be, you can run and bake and surf and read in perfect, pristine privacy, or something very closely approximating it. Don't know if the surf is any good? Get ye up the wooden lookout tower near the car park and have your bad self a look-see. Mebbe there's waves. Mebbe there ain't. Either way it's worth your while. It's super close to town too, so if you wanted to, ohhhh I don't now, mebbe get some hot chips wrapped up in butcher's paper and take them down to the sand to scoff, that's entirely within the realms of possibility.

Ye cats this part of the world is blessed with some sweet-ass beaches…read more I got taken on a few hot laps of downtown Forster and it was all small-coastal-town-good until we popped out of a bush walkway from Bennetts Head and found ourselves standing atop a mighty sand dune fringed with scrub gazing down upon what Creation would have looked like if God was a surfer. There are little kids and big ones scudding down the dunes on body boards and For Sale signs and pieces of cardboard tricked out with string handles and whooping all the way down, and below that a glorious point break curling around what I think are basalt rock formations at the bottom of the cliff, atop which are little scenic walkways and sheltered pockets perfect for lovers or bongrats. You can see right to the bottom of the ocean because the water is clear as a supermodel's skin and blue as a Merman. It gets a bit windblown in winter but hell man we still swam because ROOOAADDD TRRRIIPP!!

Beautiful and picturesque. One of those spots that locals…read moreand visitors alike love but not overly busy. Great morning noon or night to explore , chill, or hideaway. There's a cafe on the beach for food or coffee and the area has the local fish'n'chips plus other stores. There are flagged areas to swim but it's a good beach to almost swim anywhere. Rocks are great source of entertainment for the kids as well as photo opportunities. The cliffs provide a majestic backdrop and the open beach gives lovely light for sunset. I don't know why I don't come here more often. :)

Beautiful beach and rocky outcrop that is reached via a nice little walk through a wide partly…read moreblown-out dune field. The beach is deserted or nearly empty, which is part of the charm. The outcrop jutting out into the ocean can be accessed via a trail. Good snorkeling too (obviously pick the least choppy side of the outcrop).

Sea caves here were lovely. We apparently came at the right time (I didn't know there was a timing…read morefactor) and were able to see all the caves around. The rocks surround here were beautiful and it was all around just stunning.
