The Schneggarei is located in a typical ski hut just at the bottom of a piste. Just come down the slope, take of your ski and you're in. The setting is all wood, rustic and very cozy. Service is friendly, quick and efficient even on a busy day. For lunch they have a smaller menu so that the waiting time for the guests is as minimal as possible. I can recommend all of their pizza which come from a brick oven. The crust is thin and crispy. The burger is nice as well, the bun fresh and crispy, the 100% beef patty done perfectly to your order. Excellent value for money. I'd be happy to come back for dinner to try out different dishes.

For desert order anything with a side of vanilla sauce--it comes piping hot in a small canning glass. The views and woodwork of the upstairs dining room are a feast for the eyes. Rud-Alpe is my favorite of all the on-slope dining options in Lech-Zürs.

Good value for money.

I guess they tout that they are expensive for bars in Austria. It cost about 6 euros for a beer and similar for a shot of Jaeger. At one point they started blowing bubbles, which added to the fun ambiance. The music was a bit chaotic but definitely catchy, and can be heard from down the street. Super fun time, but be careful as people get extremely drunk and there is a lot of broken glass.

On Tuesday we didn't need a reservation but on Friday we were barely able to get a table at 2:30. I'd recommend making a reservation on Friday for lunch if you want a good spot for apres ski. But on Friday, we sat in the back room (which had gorgeous views)! The food was very good - we enjoyed the fall off the bone ribs, the burger, the chicken wings & especially the hot chocolate! Would recommend for lunch & would definitely recommend for apres ski but be careful skiing down!

Then we moved downstairs and had a lovely dinner, starting with the most delicious garlic bread I have had. Then we each had a steak (angus for him, bison for me). I had not had bison before and really liked the flavor of the meat and the texture as well. The waiter described it as a cross between steak and venison and it did not disappoint. For dessert, I had the cheese plate which I could have devoured if I still had room. All the cheeses were very good and of course they were accompanied with some of that awesome austrian bread. It is a little on the noisy side but that was fine with us. The food and service was excellent

KK gets very busy from 4pm, it's on the main piste back into the village. Usually frequented by a slightly younger Aussie/English/Swedish crowd than the Mooserwirt. KK has two bars, the main upstairs bar and the 'downunder' bar a 'disco' bar, with music and dancing. KK serve bar snacks and a full lunch menu of standard Aussie bar food. When you visit try to remember where you leave your skis - or use the ski check (2Euros) as with so many people skis/boards can often end up falling down the piste. Prost!
