La Gringa was a delicious all American breakfast and brunch spot with the best in the City. Their eggs benedict are out of this world. Oh and when I was missing the typical breakfast potatoes or tater tots, I will go to this magnificent establishment to devour some. Not only that, after living in Madrid for over a year, I had forgotten what amazing customer service and friendly attendance at the table was. The service here is also excellent. Restaurant goers should note that the promotion requires a series of orders from each guest in the party. We were ready to order several dishes but were not able since the kitchen abruptly closed halfway through our meal. We were not notified after being seated nor were our menus taken as any indication that the food service had ended. It would be helpful if your website and your internet listings page had the correct hours of operation or if the waitstaff would inform the guest that the kitchen will be closing soon. At the very least, you could take the menus away if ordering is not possible. That being said, the prawn risotto sure looks great...but I guess we will never know.

While it obviously has a small difference in the name Central Perks from the television show (Central Perk to avoid copyright laws --I'm guessing) the interior is still relatively well done and has a nice homely and welcoming feeling. Since it is open late Central Perks also serves as a nice alternative to going out to a bar, especially with kids or people who don't feel like drinking. They have everything from Pancakes, to muffins, bagels, milkshakes and a wide assortment of different styles and types of coffee. As an added bonus they accept cards, and if you ask them, the staff will play a disk of Friends episodes for you while you sip coffee!

As I don't speak much Spain, I was worried that communicating was going to be a little tough but turned out to be more than alright. There was a tone of options on the menu to choose from but had to stick with what I saw on the website which was Pulled Pork Burger, Chicken Stripes and Chips with bacon on. When the food came I was pretty overwhelmed if I'm honest. I got my money's worth. I thought I'd get three or four Chicken Stripes but turns out it was a basket. The burger was really big and chock full as well. It was really yummy and didn't even touch the sides. I couldn't manage it all so some of it had to be taken back in a bag which I'll eat at home.
