Great dermatologist. Answers all your questions and explains procedures thoroughly. Expect to wait however as scheduling issues abound.

Waited four months for appointment, and had to wait two hours to be seen for a cyst removal. She put me on Doxycycline for two weeks, and I endured frequent abdominal pain and diarrhea daily. I went in to have it removed today, but she postponed surgery for three more weeks because she was "taking off". I overheard her ask the assistant if the cyst had gone,but she failed to look at it. She spent most of my visit lecturing about mask wearing! I had finally ask if she planned on helping me at all and she said I had to wait three weeks, but could stop taking Doxycycline. The whole staff from the Doctor on down was very nasty and unprofessional because I forgot to wear a mask initially. She is just milking my insurance for all she can, while withholding care that I need for relief from this!Terrible experience, and inept staff. The receptionist mask nazi was constantly pulling down her own mask to talk! read more

After waiting an entire year to be seen for an appointment, I arrived at the office to be greeted by 25 other patients, which were overbooked for the same time. As a new patient I had to stand in the corner to fill out my paperwork, due to the fact there were no seats available. I was lucky that I only had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment time to be called. When I was greeted by the doctor, she briefly glanced at some the moles on my body and proceeded to tell me it was not her job to keep track of changes on my skin...it was mine. I felt very uncomfortable and belittled the entire appointment. Dr. Burke needs to learn some bed-side manners. Patients do not like to be talked to like children, even if we are quite a bit younger than her. Dr. Burke told me I needed a full body picture to be taken, which costs $450! I was told that I would not be treated unless I brought in a picture of any skin changes. I was then given 4 other pamphlets on different types of skin conditions that I may or may not eventually have. I have been going to a dermatologist for 9 years and have never been told it was my job to get pictures and locate the moles that look not quite right. Isn't that what I am paying the dermatologist for? Mapping out any suspicious looking moles is their job. I have had moles removed during every previous dermatologist visit (with other dermatologists), and I was very surprised to find that my many suspicious moles would not be treated at all. I wasted an hour of my life and a $15 co-pay to be told that nothing can be done without the $450 picture. Oh...and I have 4 very interesting (not) pamphlets to read about different types of skin cancer. WASTE OF TIME and MONEY. read more

After reading the last review I almost did not keep my appointment with Dr. Burke. I am so glad I did. I was treated with kindness and respect--seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time and given a complete and professional exam. Glad I decided to form my own opinion. While it is true that you regularly want for an appointment for a while, that should be understandable, since when she finds a problem she immediately treats that issue, hence there is no predicting how long each patient can take. Dr Burke easily identified and correctly treated a problem I had for nearly a year, after having previously been seen by an internist, 2 other demonologists and an allergist! She is well-trained and competent. And while you might wait a bit to see herm she is certainly worth the wait! read more

Dr. Burke is thorough and expert in her field. I give her credit for investigating a mole that turned out to be melanoma despite its benign appearance at first glance. I trust her to keep watch for any problems in the future. She is direct and efficient, and won't entertain you with small talk (I appreciate that). Yes the office is quite busy. I recommend an early appointment or just after lunch. read more

I like Dr Burke and have been going there for years but the problem is when you have a problem you can not get an appointment. You could have a cancerous growth and you still have to wait six months. read more

I came in contact with Dr. Burke about 12 years ago, she is one of the sweetest people I know, with me she took her time was very patient and a very lovely person, she also attended care for my daughter and as hard as it is to get an appointment with a dermatologist I was already a patient with Dr. Burke, my daughter was going through with something and when I called to get an appointment with Dr. Burke my daughter only had to wait 2 days, and she was the one who diagnosed what was going on with my daughter, so thank you Dr Burke for being a concerned person. read more

Dr. Burke figured it out when no one else could. My elderly mother has had a skin condition for years that other doctors could not figure out. I have even taken her all the way University of Pennsylvania to see the head dermatologist twice where residents also took a look to compare theories. Biopsies taken more than once, and endless creams and soaks prescribed. Nothing accomplished. Dr. Burke however, saw her once and knew what it was. My mom now takes daily antibiotics, and although it took time, it has cleared it up! She'll need to keep taking them, but we are so relieved to know what it is, and have a plan. So my rating really has nothing to do with bedside manner or how hard it is to get in. If you've tried others and you're not happy with answers/results, it is worth going to see her. I have yet to meet to a doctor with the perfect combo of knowledge, bedside manner and ease of appointments. Wishing you good health! read more

Dr. Burke is fine, have been going to her for a few years. It's the schedule I have an issue with. It seems that they schedule in clumps, and everyone waits and waits. It has always been that way. My time is valuable also. There are other options now on the shore--time to transfer to a dermatologist who appreciates my business. read more
