Since this is the largest Dollar Tree location in the area and new, I expected better. Shelves are still empty months after opening, and I saw boxes of items to be stocked on the aisles. Plus, after a few days of rain, buckets all over the store were in the aisles collecting leaking water. If you are here for food items or greeting cards, those aisles are fully stocked and have a great variety. I had to wait at the registers but the wifi signal from the World Market next door made it bearable.

I'm not sure how they sold merchandise so cheap for so long. In the 1990s, when I first noticed prices in stores, everything was $1. The pricing lasted longer than I expected, and most $1.25 items are still a great value. Dollar Tree is relatively clean, and you can select from tons of seasonal and holiday items. The Easter items are here, along with lots of Spring/Summer toys to keep the kids busy. The movie-theatre sized boxes of candy are a bargain, and Dollar Tree has the best candy selection in town. Greeting cards are still $1 and some are even 2/$1. The parking lot is large, and it's easy to get in and out at the stoplight.

Dollar Tree employees are about as nice as you can expect. Even with signs that they are hiring, the store was well-staffed today, and when the line got long, an employee opened another register so we didn't have to wait.

I've gotten several great deals here from kitchen items, lighting, body oils and more. The staff is relatively nice but strict. Anyone I see or hear complaining apparently can't read or listen (or both!) It is very clearly stated to not! open boxes or bags if any items (pre ripped or not) or you will be asked to leave. If you're curious about an item, put it in your cart and take it to the designated counter before checkout to have them open everything for you. From there you can decide if you'd like to go ahead and purchase the item or pass. (These directions are played continuously throughout the store in English and Spanish. There is a giant sign out from that states this AND signs inside.) Be prepared to spend an hour or more in here to dig through everything. It is very dusty so be mindful and dress accordingly (don't wear something you don't want to get dirty, or wear gloves etc) It can be a lot of fun finding u issue items here or that one thing you've been searching for for your home.

The table of books has everything from coloring books to cookbooks and everything is reasonably priced. Bookstores aren't the only physical store where you can buy books. Even when Smoky Oak is packed next door, you can always snag a spot somewhere. This is a pretty small DG, but is usually clean and somewhat organized. Randomly, you'll find a good seasonal deal (kiddie pools in the summer, sweet Christmas stuff in winter), but generally we come here for basic stuff like drinks, office supplies, etc. The location is convenient for us. Some of the employees are super friendly, others can be a bit glare-y. Roll the dice and hope you get one of the cool ones!
