A long, slowdrive to the fort from there- not a walking path, but saw bikers. Once you get to the fort, park. There is a small gift shop & they can answer questions. These people are volunteers and it's their hobby that I appreciated a lot! The beach when you get out of the fort is different kind, no swimming and lots of driftwood and whatnot! The drive there and back is breathtaking following the winding road and looking at the moss covered trees that frame the road! This park is basically a green square with an overlook. There is some historical signage. The reason that I and presumably most people will come is to catch a sunset, which is a worthy endeavor. Parking was somewhat limited; I just parked on the side of the street nearby. There wasn't a whole lot going on here, but if you're just coming for a vibe, you can definitely get that.
