She spent the last 4 years at Villages and she was so happy. The staff was friendly, and matched her sense of humor by teasing along with her. Despite her being mostly bedridden, she was very well cared for....Always clean, and no skin breakdown. (As a nurse myself I know how much care is needed to maintain healthy skin on a patient who is in bed most of the time) Management was receptive to any request, no matter how small. They were willing to work with us always. One time they even transported Mom to take a tour of my sister's new apartment, just because she really wanted to see it herself. Getting her to doctor appointments was a breeze. Finding arrangements for aging parents is so stressful, however we feel so fortunate that Mom ended up at Villages.
