Considering it's a mall restaurant, I didn't have high expectations here. However, the food is good quality and the staff were all so kind. It's a lovely atmosphere with extra large tables, great selections, and quite the treat after we had an extra long day that ended at Westfield.

Guava Cocktail, £7... It's rather small

Excellent food and decent portion sizes... The service was very good as well, not a long review with this one however we are very please with our stay. Only thing is their Guava cocktail is overpriced for the amount you get, I'll post a picture. It's good just not worth £7, at most it's worth £4.

I returned to the this restaurant because I love Thai food. I knew what to expect. The food as always is good and I like that it's modern Thai and not your typical menu. Although they do have pad Thai for the people that desire that as well. My only problem is that it doesn't feel like the kitchen or it could have been my server, neither offered or asked about a spice level in the food. Even though it is part of my culture I prefer to taste the flavors in my food without overpowering it with chili peppers. I ordered the beef basil and my fiancé had the grilled chicken. Both were super tasty but I couldn't thoroughly enjoy mine as it was too spicy. ;-(

The service is not really good, they don't seem to give you much of attention,I have to go look for somebody to get my order all the time the waiter didn't went to check on my table even once. At least he asked me if I had enjoy it at the end. The place is nice, I like the ambiance and the decoration is very friendly and the food was very good! I got the Chicken satay salad and I've enjoyed it and I would definitely have it again! :)) Very tasty and not very spicy

I have not had good fortune in finding good Asian cuisine in London (le sigh), but Busaba Eathai is the best Thai restaurant that I've found so far. I like the earthy decor and relaxed vibe of this always bustling restaurant. There are about 10 family style square wooden tables that can seat 8-12 people. My friend and I sat at one of the tables for two that face the outdoor concourse that runs past all of the restaurants. Hello, people watching lol. Like other reviewers noted, the service is incredibly fast. This particular branch is always packed because it's at the mall, but I was seated within 5 minutes of arrival. My friend and I both ordered the pad kwetio, a stir fry with wide egg noodles, chicken, shrimp, egg, and lots of veggies. It was SO good. My only complaint is the size of the cocktails and the juices. I ordered a guava bellini and I swear there wasn't any alcohol in it. To add insult to injury, the serving size was tiny compared to the mixed juices. On top of that, it was incredibly overpriced! I'll definitely return to Busaba Eathai, but I won't order a cocktail ever again.

One of the best Thai meals we've ever had (and my daughter lived in Thailand). Drinks were great, too. Vegan options clearly marked and they were absolutely mouth-watering. Fantastic location near Westfield Mall and transportation. Highly recommend a visit!

I love thai food and this is a nice small chain around london. Right now for jan they are offering 50% off the food bill which is a great deal. I think their soups are just ok but both their Pad Thai's are great ! The pandan chicken starter was not to exciting. The Thai calamari was ok but nothing amazing despite people raving about their calamari I found it boring. The Songkhla red curry with slow cooked beef £10.90 is great and the beef melts in your mouth. The Ginger beef has a wonderful taste plus I love the wood ear mushrooms in it! Spicy Green Papaya salad is spicy and delicious I do feel that paying £10 for a curry it should come with rice but no you have to pay another £3 for rice which I find cheeky. This place is a few pounds to expensive. They should shave a pound of each dish. I'm giving them four stars because I feel that they are being very generous with this 50% discount plus I like the decor along with their food being better then average but not the best thai ever. They do have a few strong dishes but equally they do have a few disappointing dishes plus no dessert! As a company they could profit buy offering desserts instead they offer an over price tea with two tiny but pleasant coconut cashew cookies.

It's one of the few places in the area that isn't "carry out only" and the food is really fresh. I especially enjoyed the soups. We ordered Thom Kha Kai, and a glassy noodle soup, to start. Both soups were totally "mmmmm"-worthy. When my fiancee requested a beer, the snarky waiter directed him to the quickie mart next door. He was completely condescending about the whole thing when we asked "So, can we bring the beers in here?" His response "Why would i tell you about it if you couldn't?!" - I was starving and didn't want to risk having a bad food experience so I decided to pretend I was in an episode of Seinfeld and just ignore it. It was the right decision, because when our entrées arrived, they were quick, fresh, and delicious. I ordered the pad see ew, and my fiancée had the red curry. Both totally satisfying. I think I would order something else next time, but it was good. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone in the neighborhood, but don't make a special trip for it. It would be perfect for a casual dinner meet up with a few friends. And the idea of bringing your own bottle of wine, is actually quite a positive in my opinion.

Clearly feeling overwhelmed. Placed an online order that was projected to be ready at 8:10 pm. I got there at about 8:15pm and the woman that greeted me was pretty calm cool and collected even though the place was JAM PACKED- with several people waiting outside to pick up delivery orders or waiting to be seated. She was multitasking for sure- taking orders at tables, dealing with Uber Eats folks, as well as people coming in for a table, and me picking up my online order. It was a bit of chaos but she said to give her 2 mins. I said I'll give you 5 trying to be cool because she was working hard. About 13 mins later a young woman (20s or so) came over and asked me to step outside. I politely told her 'that woman' (pointed in the nice lady's direction) said I could wait here, so I'd rather stay here to get my order. Based on her facial expression and the fact that she went to another employee to obviously complain about me - I wasn't going to budge - and get sent outside to be forgotten about. My order was given to me by the nice woman about 8:45pm- 35 mins after the time stated online. A bit aggravating for sure but thanked the nice lady for being so nice. Speaking from my personal and professional experience people can generally forgive a lot of things if the person they are dealing with is nice. All that to let you know that my family and I thought the food was pretty darn good. I will definitely get the chicken wings again as they were cooked perfectly and with just the right amount of crispness to them.

These office workers went religiously to a place that suddenly stopped serving them Thai... the office workers cried out and felt lost in a world of burgers giving them no real options. I went with a pad kee mau, fellow yelper Vickie tried out the pad thai... it's just what we've bee missing. For those of you who are familiar with the area, it's the building that used to house the French restaurant (which I'll actually miss, they were really nice) but it's a lovely space, nice and bright and modern. A visit to the toilet reveals an upstairs seating area, again a very desirable setting for a romantic evening. The staff are brilliant in allowing you privacy as well as excellent service. Did not feel as if we were left waving down someone to order some food and wine. The menu is not overly packed with all the Thai dishes possible, but instead the recognized classics - this is reads good in terms of a restaurant's capability in delivering good, consistent quality in dishes all around. Don't worry though, I was going to put this to test! Firstly ordered the prawns Tom yum soup - prawns. Portions are not generous, so flavour was the name of the game here. Not impressed by the flavour, but I have been spoiled by the likes of Addie's Thai in SW5. The Tom Yum lacked the balance in sweet and sour flavours. You can ask for different strengths of spiciness - go for the top strength. After all, it is a Tom Yum soup, and you wanna kick that cold/cough! Ordered the beef massaman with Thai fragrant rice for main. One of the best massaman's I have had in London, in terms of the sauce ...and I was left wanting more even though I was full - result!! A little pet hate of mine is finding the potatoes slightly undercooked - for my liking! But my guest had no issue with them. It is a matter of preference I think! Not quite satisfied had the sticky toffee pudding, which came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream - a standard dessert with a sickly sweet finish. Verdict? - Classic Thai dishes, the massaman was oh so delicious, but maybe opt for a different starter than the Tom Yum soup - Will be back to try some more of the menu! Oh yeah, good house white and red wines!

Next door, the Ginger Pig was holding an urban butchery course-very chic! But, back to Somtag. As I say, it's quite small and on weekends I would definitely book. The decor is solidly Thai but in an understated way. We were greeted by the owner who was politeness itself-he told us a little of how he came to own the place. We ordered drinks and tap water was brought for us and then constantly re-filled-very good touch. Service was generally excellent. We had: Thai fish cakes soft shelled crab (both to start) Massaman lamb curry green curry Pad Thai Both starters were really good. I love Thai fishcakes, though they can get on the greasy side. These were freshly made and non-greasy with clean flavours. The soft shelled crab was very reasonably priced at about £6 but we got 2-3 huge pieces. Not the best crab I've had but for the money they were absolutely fine. I was concerned ordering the lamb curry-I have a "thing" about lamb as it can be chewy/fatty. I needn't have worried-the lamb was slow cooked, lean and wonderfully tender. The sauce was rich and deep-a revelation. The green curry was less fireworks but very nice indeed with all the attendant flavours you would expect in a good Thai curry. Pad Thai-tick yet again-huge king prawns were buried deep in the noodles. We had no desert as we could hardly walk after this. If you live in the area or even if you don't give this friendly, very competent restaurant a bash. We will certainly return.
