I have had the occasion to use Buckwhackers twice, and have been very pleased on both occasions. I received reasonable estimates for the work, and the crew was courteous and capable. Recently I had another "emergency" issue, a stump required removal. Brian remembered me, remembered the last tree removal he did for me, and was able to commit to removal of the stump promptly. We have used Bushwackers on two occasions. The first was to remove several trees on our property so we could start the foundation of our home addition. Most recently we called Bushwackers to have a dead tree removed. On both occasions they were wonderful to work with; responsive, timely and fast. Some neighbor across the street is using them apparently. Despite the whole street being open and they could park anywhere, they decided to illegally block my driveway completely for about an hour. They also parked another truck across the street so that the street is very narrow there making it unnecessarily dangerous. And for some reason they decided to sit in front of my house to eat their lunch. I checked afterwards and there was some food packaging on the ground where they were eating. We called 3 (Three) tree companies, 2 never called back but Bushwackers called us back that same day, came out that day, gave us a quote and removed the trees the following day! Bushwhackers was once a dependable organization. My family used them often. This time is different. First, it was difficult getting a quote; they don't tend to return calls dependably. Second, they didn't make an appointment to meet and just showed up randomly during the week. Fortunately I was home. Third, after going over the job carefully onsite, their bid omitted a significant portion of the job that we discussed (removal of a tall dead widow-maker tree). Fourth, I tried three times to have them address the bid discrepancy and they never successfully managed to call back. After wasting my time, I can see they are disorganized and unreliable. I am only pleased that I didn't hire them. read more

***EDIT** We ordered 2 cords of wood and my neighbor ordered 3 in late August/early Sept. After weeks of trying to get in touch with this sham of a company they finally call us back saying that they are refusing to service our location. They'll do Incline, but 10 mins from Incline for a fee they refuse. So they went from "Yes, we will deliver late September/early October"- reassuring me that I would have wood for the winter, to completely pulling the rug out the week they were supposed to deliver. So now here I am with winter fast approaching and I have to start my search over, when I originally had given myself PLENTY of time to get this taken care of before winter. What a disgrace of a company to pull this with such a vital resource at the last moment. I will absolutely never refer anyone to this company- I had planned on having some tree removal done on my property and considered them, but never again. What an absolutely awful experience. How foolish of me to take a company for their WORD. What awful customer service. Had they called me back 2-3 weeks ago and told me this then it wouldn't be a big deal. But instead, they wait til the coldest weekend of the season so far and give me a big "F-you". Thanks, BW. ******* Is this company still in business?!? I have a firewood delivery scheduled but have not been able to get in touch with this company for over 2 weeks. My neighbor also has 3 cords of wood scheduled to be delivered as well, but alas he has not been able to get anyone here to pick up the phone or return our calls. I have also filled out the contact us form with no luck. I need firewood for the winter and chose these guys almost a month ago. I am fine with waiting til end of month for delivery, but I need to find someone to pick up the damn phone! read more

So far so good. We've ordered several cords of wood (last winter) and they've delivered on time, or communicated with us if they needed to change the delivery date. They are excellent at tree and brush removal too. Like other companies in the area, they are very busy during certain times of the year so I recommend being patient and following up when needed. They are very personable and efficient, and no drama. read more

I had a dead 90 foot tree in my backyard that was too big for me to remove safely. I contacted Bushwackers and got a quote within a few days. I thought the price to cut down the tree was reasonable. Bushwackers scheduled a date to remove the tree. Even though the date was not important to me, the crew showed up on time and promptly removed the dead tree. It was very impressive how the five person crew methodically fell the tree in a safe manner, then cleaned up the debris. From contacting Bushwackers to get a quote through easily paying the invoice was a great experience. Luckily, I do not have any more dead trees, though in the future my first call will be to Bushwackers. read more

We are in Alpine Meadows and owned our property for 28 years. Even though we keep our area around our house neat, it did not meet the expectations of a safe fire environment. We met with Eric from Bushwackers. He walked the property with us and discussed what needed to be done. He was very attentive and respected our wishes and did not try and create work. We had 8 trees removed of various sizes, trees trimmed up from the ground to meet state guidelines, various small saplings cut and the area raked. We also asked for some limbs cut for visual benefit and he accommodated without a price change. He gave us a very good estimate based on other neighbor's charges by other tree services. They stacked large rounds and chipped a large amount of smaller materials. They used a blower to clean the saw dust from the road and our decks. We are very happy with the experience even though sad about having to have our tress cut. read more

Tim was great. I called about 5 or 6 places. I got 2 calls back. (This was during the winter, when I've heard that tree services are less busy too). The first place never followed through with an estimate. However, Tim at Bushwackers got us an estimate, and returned calls when he said he would. It was always to reach him on the phone too. Finally, the tree was taken down, and everything was neatly piled, just like they said it would be. We live out of town, so it was nice to be able take care of the trees without a hassle. Wacker is an appropriate name for this organization. They do more than necessary .. giving them more money and home owners exposed yards. Too aggressive when clearing. I strongly do not recommend this company. If you want nothing but stick trees, then they are for you read more

Eric was great to work with. He responded promptly, carefully went through what needed to be done and followed up the day after the work was completed to make sure we were satisfied. We had two huge trees, one Pine, one Fir in Tahoma. They were a threat to our Cabin as well as roots uplifting our driveway. They were very reasonable (half some other bids). Came at the appointed time, the job went very well. Per our request, cleaned up the slash, left behind the two huge trees cut in rounds so neighbors could take for firewood.
