I visited the 86 Kent Ave section of Bushwick Inlet Park to spend some time exploring the waterfront before attending the Summer Music in BIP 2026 concert featuring the George Gray Jazz Coalition. It was a lovely way to spend an evening. The park is lush and well designed, with lots of green space and flowers in bloom. Its waterfront esplanade is a pretty place for a walk, especially as the sun starts to set over the Manhattan skyline. I wandered up the raised slope at the street side of the park, which provides fantastic views across the East River. The elevated area where the jazz performance took place sits right on the water and made for a special setting to enjoy live music. A lot is packed into this section of the park. There's a large soccer field, public restrooms, water bottle filling stations, and a children's play area with shade and water features. I enjoyed seeing the small sandy beach, and BIP connects directly with Marsha P. Johnson Park, so there's even more to see as you walk and enjoy even waterfront green space. I also appreciated researching the site's transformation from an industrial area into a public park with restored natural features. It feels like a space that is actively working to improve and serve the neighborhood, and is well worth a visit. Let's hope monster development projects don't stop the park's promise from expanding even further. read more

I made it here accidentally as I was supposed to be at a nearby rooftop but they were full and couldn't take us. With the clock ticking and almost running out of daylight, I decided to walk another couple of blocks towards the river waterfront to hopefully find a spot where we could see the sunset, and this is how I made it to Bushwick Inlet Park. People always say that things happen for a reason and I couldn't agree more in this case. One of the things I like about NYC are the sunset city skyline views when you see it from the distance. Bushwick Inlet Park was perfect for this. It was a quiet and well maintained park with a few people walking around. Really loved how quiet was. Can't be happier I made it here. read more

Took my friend from out of town here recently while walking along the Williamsburg waterfront and he was impressed. I've been by here when it was colder but now got to see it full of green. Besides the incredible view of the Manhattan skyline (from the top of the hill) there are a few other things that make this park unique. There are lounge chairs where you can rest and catch some rays while having your bike along your side. There are plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy a snack (especially on a Saturday....Smorgasborg is just south of here) or play a game of chess. Two sprinkler options are excellent for cooling off on a hot day. One fixture is in the form of colorful spraying squiggles and the other is hidden in the ground. Look for a button on a pedestal to activate them. read more

We visited the newly open northern part of the park today. The park is a great addition of a good spot to visit in the area. It has a very good view of the Manhattan skyline. A perfect spot to watch the sundown. Next to the Marsha Johnson state park with an easy access to the weekend smorgasbord of Williamsburg. There are so many benches and tables that are installed all around the vicinity. A good walking path has properly lined. It has outdoor games( sand bag etc) available to play by anyone. The added sprinkler system makes it a fun place for children. Lots of trees to give full shade to visitors for eating, reading or resting. Lamp posts can be seen on each corner of the park. Clean restrooms for public use. read more

This is a nice park. But, it's small. I found this spot accidentally when I was in the area and was walking by. There are benches by the water, playgrounds, fields and restrooms. I would definitely come here again for views of the water. read more

I had to meet up with a friend nearby but since I was early and it was a beautiful day I came here to kill time. I really love what they made of this space and they have a pretty big soccer field which is divided into sections therefore there are a lot of different games going on at one time. You could also go closer to the water and enjoy the beautiful NYC skyline which its always stunning. I noticed they also had public bathrooms which seem very big from the outside (I didn't need to use them so I didn't go inside) If you are in the area and want to relax or watch people play soccer this is a great place. read more

One of the best spots to watch the sunset over the midtown Manhattan skyline from Brooklyn NYC. It is also great place to take a break from Smoregasburg or after Smorgasburg close down walk over and enjoy the view and rest your stomach from all that eating. Enjoy a soccer game or sun yourself on the sloping grass that goes up the roof of the building. This is just phase 1 of the park. More is planned to expand north. Why is "Bushwick Inlet" the name? Because the next phases of the park will include the Bushwick inlet located between N12 St and Quay St. just off of Kent Ave. read more

It's hard to really rate a public park. But what gives this place a 5-star rating is the fact that this is definitely a must see location for some of the best views of Manhattan. Also if you go at night, no one will bother you as you walk across the rocks to a small little concrete island. This is the perfect place to bring a date or to simply go on your own for a little peace and quiet. There are also port-a-potties by the entrance if nature calls, and a soccer field if you that's what you fancy. read more

Is it too dramatic to describe a park as an Oasis? Welp too bad! It's so safe and clean and I am at ease watching my littles play. I mean they had a great view and my kids actually sat down with me and watched some boats pass. They got to run around on the turf with a few kids from a soccer camp that was there. It was so chill. They made some park friends I mean it was fantastic THE CLEANEST PARK BATHROOMS EVER!!!!!! I simply cannot stress that enough with two kids. read more

Stumbled upon this awesome park right around sunset on a weekday, the view of Manhattan is extraordinarily gorgeous! The park itself is huge with plenty field space. It looked like there were some organized sports team playing at the time, but I imagine it to be a great space for football, soccer, etc. There's also a dog park area which is great for them to be off leash and let some energy out. It's a few blocks away from Bedford Ave. Not sure how it is on weekends, but I found it to be a perfect place to retreat away from the every day hustle and bustle and admire the city from afar. First of all, although this called Bushwick Inlet Park, it is actually in Williamsburg. This park is still brand spanking new and still under construction so there's nothing but a soccer field at the moment. With a view of the Manhattan skyline, I can't think of a better place to kick a ball around! I can't wait til the bleachers are done and hopefully, a bathroom. Gorgeous views of Manhattan, waterfront areas, lots of benches and tables, a new dog park, soccer field, and it's super close to the Bedford subway and adjacent to Smorgasburg! What more could you ask for?? It's so lovely that I've even witnessed a marriage proposal while enjoying a burrito at one of the picnic tables overlooking the water! It's places like this that make you realize that although we live in a concrete jungle, it's not too hard to be able to enjoy the outdoors and the gorgeous sights of the city if you just take a moment to slow down! read more

Visited on Smorgasburg Saturday (essentially connected to East River State Park) and really enjoyed our visit.

This review is for the playground itself. Not the river views and soccer field. Basically my reaction is this: nice sprinkler feature, but for such a popular area, you'd think this playground was a bit bigger. This park deserves one of those super playgrounds. Also, there are only two toddler swings nearby. TWO. And the person who designed and authorized the toddler swings probably doesn't have kids because the swings are super low so you need to strain your back while bending over to push your kid. Tip: rise those suckers up by shortening the chains. And with only two of them, you have a situtaion where the most impatience beings on earth (16 month olds) have to wait. There are some cool wooden play features here: like the bounce pads and the train and the wooden bridge. Fun, creative features for sure. And yes, great river views. read more

Everyone is welcome at The Bushwick Inlet Park. Soccer and rugby players make use of the fields to the right. To the left there's a friendly dog park area. Keep walking straight to the end of the road and you start to feel the breeze from the shore, and then... the view. Couples, loners and tourists alike can snap amazing shots in this Zen area, where you can sit on benches, on the floor or simply stand, while you hear the waves crash... the NYPD chopper sounds from above will interrupt but it feels good to have eyes above just keeping us safe. When you're ready to be social or to explore the park area to your left please note: no pets allowed. Only humans can cross into this zone, with picnic blankets, kids or no kids, couples and families... there's a view of the shore too but this side of the park gets crowded like a college campus, grass area.. so of course, the park has a food fest every weekend to keep the visitors well fed and hydrated. Eight years later...and the park is finally open. If this project had not been as hyped-up and subsequently delayed as it was, I may have felt less critical of it. As it stands now, the park is a long, somewhat narrow green space that has a beautiful view of NYC and East River access. Its basically a large soccer field. And obviously, everything in it is all brand new, clean & sparkly. That said, the playground is nothing to brag about. My six-year-old was bored in 2 minutes flat. The bathrooms were devoid of any type of paper product you would need to wipe/dry/whatever-you-need-paper-for. Saw nothing of the rumored rooftop garden. No bleachers installed yet either, just a few benches. Hopefully they are gonna do something interesting with the building at the front of the grounds. And that name...that name continues to perplex. read more

Great turf fields - area around the fields are well maintained and the views of Manhattan just across the water are simply priceless. Easy subway access and great walking distance to everything exciting in Williamsburg. In the warmer months it can be difficult to find parking and to actually get to the field due to human and auto traffic all over the street. Bathrooms seem to be well maintained. read more
