Amazing hotel with a lot of history. The room had great tea kettle and cookies with a nice window and comfortable bed. The show was amazing with great water pressure. Very friendly staff. The restaurant in the lobby has amazing fish and chips with Guinness on tap.

Our family of 10 (and a 9-month-old) stayed here for two nights during our tour of Ireland. As part of our itinerary, our tourist guide scheduled for us all to be picked up and checked into our rooms first thing in the morning. Our rooms were not ready, and so we all had to hang out in the lobby until check-in time. Of course, this wasn't their fault, but they all were super accommodating and kept all our luggage in a separate, locked room. Jer, the manager, was super nice and helpful to us as far as making reservations for us at a very nice restaurant. The rooms were very nice and updated. They did have a fan to use. The beds were clean and comfortable. They have a restaurant downstairs where we ate breakfast both days, and their food selection was yummy. They had a nice continental breakfast with cereal, a charcuterie board, and wonderful pastries. They also had a hot breakfast menu that consisted of omelets, pancakes, bacon, and porridge. I will forever have wonderful and pleasant memories of this hotel.

We did not stay in this hotel but we stopped in for lunch. Service was a little slow but when we finally were waited on the young man was polite, but he did not pay much attention to us and our needs. We had to track him down to pay the bill. We ordered an egg salad sandwich which was different from an American egg salad sandwich. To us it was, just a hardboiled egg with a thin layer of mayo and lots of lettuce on the bread. The salad on the side was good and they gave us some chips. Americans mix ours with lots of mayo and relish. The sandwich was good, just different. BUT the tea was excellent! I don't know what kind they used but I could have sat there all day drinking their tea.

Watch out for spiders FOUND A HUGE SPIDER CRAWLING ON MY FACE AT NIGHT. We asked for a new room and none were apparently available.... Nor did we get a full refund because it was out of their control apparently. Definitely won't be coming back to this one.

Booked Buswell's for a one-day trip I made with my 15-yo daughter for a family wedding. Wanted to make it all as fun as possible, remembered my father loving the hotel. Wanted early check-in, only way Buswell's could guarantee was booking day before as well, so I did that. No way to pay partial payment or other. End result - paying two nights for one. €412, or $506. Pretty steep, but I was okay with that, until I saw the room they chose for us. Presumably one of the worst rooms in the hotel - I hope. View - the sole window in the room - if what you want to remember of Dublin is no light, and sheer brick walls with cheap obscuring stick-on window, it's awesome. Otherwise a bummer for the one night we had. And the loo gets its own shot - I'm not that fussy about loos, but on the ugly scale, this is 11 out of 10. Booked with plenty of time; a manager could easily have said, look, they're paying a silly price, let's give 'en a decent room. Opposite seems to have occurred. Nice people on duty, comped breakfast, but would rather have had decent room for that price. Disappointing.

Great location in Dublin, smack dab in front of the best museums in Dublin. They should call this place "Buswell Hotel for Those Who Want to Shop." Super Irish shopping right in the neighborhood. Near great pubs and restaurants. Excellent location, for real. We had a triple room, and it was huge! DRINK the in-room tea. I repeat drink the tea. I even bought a box of this Irish tea to bring back to the states (customs, what? ) The tea will hit the spot after a long day of shopping. The bar area serves really good food, so if you are tired from said day of shopping you can drop your goodies in the room then go downstairs for a good meal and a pint of Guinness. The front desk lady was gruff. You have to leave your key each time you leave, very inconvenient. Which meant I had to talk to the scary lady every day. They offer internet with a access code you get from the front desk, which enables you on WIFI throughout the city. It would have been great if at check-in I would been told. You have to park behind the hotel in a pay parking garage which is expensive. You really don't need a car in the city so I would skip it. Breakfast was decent, not extraordinary compared to the other Irish breakfasts we had.

Yes its a pub, yes its pricey, yes it always has a whole load of politicians inide (houldnt they be doing some work!). Did you know that this place has a toastmasters session very thursday night though? I suppose its a fitting location or it! basically its a group of people that you can become a member of or you can come along as a guest on the night, the first half of he night is taken up with speeches on a variety of topics and the second half of the night involves topics being pulled out of a hat and everyone speaks for two minutes on the topic, just off the cuff! you dont have to speak if your a guest and you dont want to. anyway this all takes place in the lovely buswells and is definitely good for something different and is great for imporoving your public speaking skills!

As I worked next door to the hotel for 13 years I have been in the bar more times then I care to tell you !! I used to think the hotel was tired and old fashioned but maybe now a sign that I'm finally maturing it's old world charm has grown on me. We now have our monthly book club here and it's perfect for just hat type of evening. There is always a mixed crowed which I guess all hotels attract. The bar is small and full of atmosphere and is always busy - even on a Tuesday night you might find it hard to get a table. In between the bar and the lobby is a nice little area with very comfortable couches, much like the ones you would find in a old country house. There is always an Irish times on hand or you can just sit and watch the hustle and bustle of the hotel. The food is as old school as the furniture with offerings such as cocktail sausage and chips or the wonder that is a "pick'o'plenty" a.k.a sausage, chicken, scampi and chips. They do however serve a pretty decent sandwich - non of this fancy new sandwich malarkey but an old style toasted ham and cheese with chips. The meeting facilities should you have the need are surprisingly good and quite high tech. The staff are friendly but seem quite transient as I don't generally recognise the same person twice.

For the price, my hotel room smelled awful and it was super noisy from the HVAC outside. I would take the noise of Temple Bar over that. I wasn't really impressed with the decor. We arrived from an overnight flight at roughly 9:30 a.m. and they were still prepping rooms but they stored our luggage and recommended a location to grab something to eat which was very good. Upon returning about 45 minutes later our room was ready and we found the room to be meticulous with a very comfy king bed, mini fridge, tv, and ample size bathroom. I saw a few other reviews that stated the bathroom doors would not stay open but I learned that is by design and we just asked for an extra towel that we used to prop the door open when needed. It serves to point out that the entire hotel is under a complete remodel so many of the rooms and features of the hotel are shinny new. They do offer breakfast in the morning and for the evening they do have a restaurant and bar. Just walk out the front door if you want a livelier crowd and more restaurant options The location of the hotel is prime as it offers proximity the River Liffey, plenty of shops, pubs, and attractions. We walked to the Jameson (25 min walk) and Guinness (30 min walk) factories as it also gave us the ability to take in things along the walk. You are close to Trinity College and both St Patrick's and Christ Church Cathedrals. lastly, I cannot say enough about the staff, Anne at the front desk was a warm and inviting pleasure and very professional, Marvin the concierge and bellman was super helpful and pleasantly informative, the house staff was attentive and always looking to make sure we were comfortable. The Brooks comes with my highest recommendation.

That said, this was a truly special time of year when they're getting ready for Christmas! They took such care and were meticulous with their decorations. It was delightful to come home to each evening. Experience: 1. They will tidy your room everyday 2. Turn down service begins around 6 pm (they will get your slipper, robe, bed, water and chocolate ready for nighttime) 3. Their small guest room includes a king size bed that is superbly fluffy. 4. The deluxe guest room has a deep tub for soaking Staff: The entire front desk staff is very helpful, welcoming and efficient. Marta was especially helpful and kind throughout my stay! As for the porters were just right with their assistance. I did always feel bad that I had not gotten any Euro on my trip, but I will mention Karl was fantastic! Always helpful and nice to talk with. Michele in the health center was informative and helped me find all of the rooms for their current gym as it's under renovation. Facilities: They have a 5 star spa on site that includes one of the best relaxation rooms I have experienced in the world. It's the view and seating that make it amazing. They give you a blanket, fruit, spa water -- all while looking over st. Stephen's park... bliss! (I went on a rainy day which added to the ambiance) The facial with Elemis product was my favorite. PRO TIP! if you're from the states and liked Elemis, there is now an Elemis outlet store at Kildare Village, which is a short train ride away. I made it there in 35 minutes. DINING: Again, 5 star experience and the restaurant is always packed. Chef makes superb food and I thoroughly enjoyed the room service of fish and chips. TONS of fish, perfectly battered and fried. If I could give the shelbourne a 10 out of 5 I would.

It is in a convenient location nearby many tourist attractions, such as Temple Bar, Dublin's castle, St Patrick's Cathedral, etc. it was also a short walking distance to our car rental pick up at St Stephen's Green shopping centre. We booked this hotel for the first day of our trip. We arrived in the morning so our room wasn't ready for check in yet, but we were able to drop off our luggage in the lobby. This made it easy for us as we could continue exploring according to our plan (we took a 30 minute train ride over to Howth right after dropping our bags). Coming back to the hotel around 5pm, our room was ready and we were able to nap a bit before dinner. The superior room we booked was located in a renovated section of the hotel and had access to a shared outdoor patio right across from our hotel room. We didn't have time to use the patio but it was spacious and it seemed no one was using it whenever we passed by. Our hotel room was very clean, large (great for us as we had plenty of luggage) and we had two complementary water bottles in the room. We had breakfast the next morning and it was buffet style. There is a section if you want fresh made omelettes. Lots of variety I think but I stuck with the classic Irish breakfast items. So delicious and fresh! Check out process - we had a bit of a hiccup as I had given my credit card for authorization for breakfast charges when I checked in. The staff was asking for my credit card again which confused me as I had already paid. Despite the confusion, the service at Radisson was great and I would definitely recommend this hotel for fellow tourists!
