This was my 2nd time coming to this location while traveling to Paris. I was outside waiting for the restaurant to open for dinner service about 10 mins. The 2 waitresses saw me and another couple waiting but would not open the doors despite the rain. They were chatting not setting up etc. Even after we were allowed to enter, the waitresses couldn't be bothered with questions and continued chatting. The burger was decent but we felt like we were inconveniencing the waitstaff by being there. We ate and left within 30 mins. We were hungry. It's halal. Unless I'm starving or craving being ignored, I'll probably not go back. The Yemeni restaurant across the street is great and the owners/ wait staff are much nicer. read more

I cringed a little when my son suggested we go to a burger joint while walking the streets of Paris. But it was raining and we were wet and famished. WOW! These burgers are great! I got the Mediterranean and it was delicious. From the bun, to meat, to garnishing, to the fries... everything was excellent. And was under 50 euros for three meals, so a fantastic value as well. Decent burgers for the whole family. The restaurant is very small and can be packed during rush hour, but the quality is very good.

Butcher restaurant is near Champs-Elysées but on a quieter street. We heard about this place from a friend who had dined here a few months ago. It's a local place prefect for burgers and steaks etc. I was avoiding red meat, and got the Victor Hugo burger that had chicken inside it. The burger was great. Fast forward three days later, on the last night in Paris during our vacation, our dinner plans got canceled due to not being able to get a reservation for another near by restaurant. And we decided to come back to eat some more delicious grub from Butcher restaurant. The second visit I got a grill item called chicken supreme with mushroom sauce on the side. It was delicious. In drinks, I ordered a fruit mock tail with passion fruit and lychees. Very refreshing drink. This is a busy restaurant but the service is great. And the food is good to want to go back when visiting Paris. Side Note- For my friends that eat halal food only, all their protein options are halal in this restaurant. read more

If your looking for tasty, well seasoned and prepared, delicious sandwiches and burgers in Paris, Butcher is the place for you. I ordered the Le Montiser burger from the Top Chef portion of the menu, and it was perfect... My partner ordered a mouth-watering chicken burger which was full of flavor! Service was good, they offer menus in English and French, food came out of the kitchen fast, and everything that landed on our plate tasted great. As a foodie from America who has eaten at countless burger restaurants, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of burgers at Butcher. They know how to make a "proper" burger! P.S. I really enjoyed my meal here! Make sure you have the right location because they recently moved! As per the name, there is a variety of burgers and other meat based sandwiches. Not a ton of vegetarian items, in my opinion. It gets very busy on weekdays so we were happy to get a table. It's a tightly packed restaurant and the staff is very sweet and welcoming. The restaurant collaborates with Top Chef contestants in Europe, which is pretty cool. I ordered a fish sandwich, which was pretty good and my fries were excellent. Fantastic late night burger option in the neighborhood! We were very pleasantly surprised after stopping in on a whim. The food was delicious and the service was truly incredible. Our server Mehdi made our evening with his kindness and attentiveness. He even entertained our young child while we waited for our dinner. The smashed burgers are especially good--a French take on the American classic. We also enjoyed the fries which are thick and crispy. One of my friends who had been to Paris last summer recommended La Butcher to us. On our recent trip to Paris in March we finally went to Butcher. It was an awesome place and as most of you who read my reviews know that usually a place we love we go multiple times. That was the case with La Butcher. It was simply awesome. The menu is completely halal and the owners have Algerian and Tunisian backgrounds. The burgers are what we came for and plentiful we ate. I ordered two different burgers on back to back days and they came out great. I usually order medium well done and the burgers were cooked to perfection and extremely tasteful. Service is excellent and even though they are super busy the servers are on top of their game. Rabia J also tried the chicken steak which turned out to be perfect and I was able to nibble a few pieces out of her plate. Great spot behind the Champs-Elysées. 5 stars all the way not to be missed if in Paris. read more

Great full halal gourmet burger place. Very friendly for us who dont speak French, they have an English menu, just ask. We had the bacon (it's beef, likely pastrami) burger, the champ elysees burger, and the bacon & cheese fries. The burger meat quality was top notch and not over cooked, very juicy. The place is small but cozy. Definitely a place to visit if you're looking for a great halal meal in Paris. read more

While outside of the US for 2 weeks, I was jonesing for a burger and fries. I saw this place and it looked like an American style burger joint. I decided to give it a shot. The downstairs seating area is very tight...if someone wants to get up, all the tables down the side are disturbed. They need to take one table and set of chairs out on each side. It's also SUPER hot inside. How about some air conditioning or just a fan? They offer several signature burgers with a wide variety of very American toppings (bacon, cheeses, peppers, etc...). We ordered pretty boring but delicious sounding cheeseburgers and regular fries. The meat was cooked just right! The special sauce is to heavy on the relish. The bun can't hold up to the juice and sauce. The fries were a bit soggy so that was a bummer. All in all, we were both underwhelmed but still very happy to have a taste of home! read more

Decent little burger shop just a quick walk off of Champs-Élysées. Friendly enough staff. Burgers were ok.. a little on the dry side, but still hit the spot after a long day of wandering the city. Cheese fries were delicious, could have been a little crispier! Best of all was the price though. Compared to all of the brasseries in the surrounding areas, this place was at least 30% cheaper! This restaurant has the nicest staff! They don't speak a lot of English but enough to get by. The restaurant is clean and was not crowded at all. I'll admit, I'm shocked to see it only has 2/5 stars. The burgers are delicious and HALAL. Hard to find even in America. The frites formage bacon (cheese fries with beef bacon) were really good. Overall, would definitely recommend this place to people who do and don't eat halal. Will be back again on our next trip. read more

This place is a complete rip off. I ordered off Deliveroo paying 17 euros and they don't even include fries. Just a burger. That's an insane price especially for just a burger. No matter how good a burger is you shouldn't be charging 17 euros without any fries. Ridiculous. read more
