It's busy, energetic, and tables are close together, which adds to the authentic charm. The menu couldn't be simpler. They only serve a green salad with walnuts, steak, and unlimited fries with their famous secret sauce. Everything was delicious. The salad was fresh, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the sauce really is as good as everyone says. I also loved that they automatically bring a second serving of steak and fries. Don't skip dessert. The profiteroles were absolutely amazing and the perfect way to end the meal. Considering the quality of the food, the generous portions with the second serving, and the iconic experience, I thought it offered good value for Paris. All were bonkers awesome. For our meat course, the husband got the Wagyu Picanha (all evidence points to it being a remarkable piece of beef) and I got the veal filet. The veal was one of the tenderest, most delicious pieces of meat I've ever eaten. The haricots beets we got as a side were crisp and sweet, and the pommes purées were otherworldly (complimentary). This is where the good part stops. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fine. But it was HOT. It is unusually hot in Paris this week but it was stifling inside the restaurant. But we could have dealt with that (the food was that good). The really disappointing part, however, was the service.
