The onion soup was really cheesy which I like and the broth wasn't overly salty. And the surprise of the meal was the onion rings - I usually don't like overly battered rings but this batter was sweet, almost like uber fried donut, which I liked. The strawberry rhubarb pie to end the meal was packed, though just a bit too sweet. Overall service was friendly and efficient. The Codmothers has offers you just can't refuse. It's a convenience store so you're not really hanging out in the parking lot so there should be enough parking for everybody The goods: It's a convenience store so it has all the stuff for your convenience and snacking. There's also a bait fridge so if you're heading out fishing you could stop and grab something. And also there is a freezer with some frozen meats from the farm/meat place in Bruce wines. I have to say they have fantastic stewing beef so I'm glad they carry it here and I don't have to drive all the way to Bruce mine's. Oh there's also a really cute coffee station so you can stop and grab a coffee and maybe something for lunch on your way to work. Oh also if you follow them on Facebook you see every week they get new items. And people suggest things and they get it if they can. Oh I almost forgot they also carry alcohol but I didn't pay attention to what exactly they have. I'm assuming beer. Nowhere else I've been has chicken gravy (with chunks of real chicken) instead of the regular brown gravy. They mix in the cheese curds with the perfectly done fries, instead of just dropping them on top, so you have cheese in each bite. I'd like to finish up my meal with a delicious Farquar's Dairy ice cream (so effing creamy), but I'm usually too full from the small poutine to have them together. It's a coin flip as to which one I get. :)
