It represents true value for money and is much better than the university canteen and Subway. There are a number of sandwich fillings you can have and all sandwiches are made to order. Everything from a salad bap to a sausage and bacon sarnie. Price wise it's cheaper than competitors but the only down side is that it is take away only. It's only down the road from Hanley Park so if it's a nice day, venture there to enjoy a lunchtime snack.

You can also get a sandwich on a baguette. The coronation chicken is pretty much curried chicken salad. It has raisins in it and lots of curry powder. Very good. The following day I got the smoked salmon and cream cheese and asked that they add cucumber. Cost £2.30. Holy ridiculous. $2.80 when converting. Even shitty cheap sandwich Subway is more expensive than that and it's shitty. Not sure how their prices are so low, but the smoked salmon was amazing and I felt like I spent pretty much nothing on lunch. Also get a flapjack. It's a brown sugar oat cake that is semi- healthy (oats) and super amazing (caramel).

I've tried their sausage bloom with fried egg and caramelised onions and also their French onion soup and 'The Big Fish' toasted sandwich. These are great - just the perfect amount for lunch. Their coffees are good too. The people who work here are lovely and the service is fast. I can imagine it being the perfect place for a quick take out sandwich. When it first arrived I was slightly overwhelmed by the amount of rocket on it, however, it turned out that this worked perfectly with the intense smokiness of the mackerel (and made me feel slightly healthier). The lemon, pepper, and balsamic vinegar added a nice sharpness and complimented the peppery rocket. Also, the locally baked seeded roll was noticeably fresh and delicious. If you decide to dine in at Bloom you also get a little bowl of fresh, homemade coleslaw. This is easily one of the best coleslaws I have ever eaten. It doesn't do anything particularly different to any other 'slaw', but it is sharp and zesty whilst also somehow managing to be creamy and luxurious. The sultanas adding a nice fruity sweetness as well. Overall, Nantwich (and Cheshire) is lucky to have such a fabulous sandwich shop and if I'm in need of a sandwich there aren't many places I would choose over it in the country. Some people have remarked to me that they find Bloom a little pricey (my bill came to £11 for the sandwich above, a coffee and a cold drink). However, although that is slightly more expensive than other similar places in Nantwich, I would rather pay the extra and know that I am getting quality food from locally sourced businesses and suppliers.

The best Patissier and Chocolatier in North Manchester…read more Any time I drive into Manchester (which is very often) I have to drive past Slattery's and always manage to make some excuse to pop in. I shouldn't have to make an excuse to go here - It's excellent. The ground floor is their outstanding chocolate and cake shop - definitely worth spending some time here tasting and choosing what they have on offer. Their selection of over 40 celebration cakes on display are stunning - you'll find yourself staring at them like some sort of art. A few of the wedding cakes are pushing £1,000.. asking if it would be worth it? For me, yes! Their cakes are amazing - no wonder Wayne Rooney bought his wedding cake from here and had it shipped to Italy. You'll find me with my face pressed up against the viewing window where you can watch the cake decorators working hard to perfect these masterpieces *drool* I'm certainly not planning my wedding or anything but I already know that there's a massive possibility that my cake will be from here. On the first floor is an elegant restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and of course CAKE. The menu is fab and I haven't heard anybody mention a bad word about it. I have yet to visit the restaurant and I hear that unless you book weeks in advance you've no chance of getting in, but this only makes me want to try it even more and it is certainly on my list. In the past I have bought baskets from here and made my own hampers, mainly for family or friends at Christmas time - consisting of chocolates, hand make cakes, biscuits, marmalades, wines etc (all locally sourced).
