I've been going to this establishment for 3 years now and I have had nothing but amicable dealings with all the staff. I have read the negative comments on here about the staff and have to say that you get what you put out!!! I buy all my spring flowers and veggies here and will continue to do so. read more

I have a dog who is a service dog and this was the second time I was there with my dog. This time the older women said to me you need to leave with your dog I told her no I don't she's a service dog and she proceeded to say if I let my dogs loose you don't want to know what they will do to your dog get it out of here. The other older man was also rude and told me to leave because her leash and harness didn't say service animal and I told him I had her card and he didn't wanna see it so I humbled them and went outside and reported them for not abiding by the disability law. They also are extremely arrogant and I felt threatened by the older women. I would seriously not recommend this business!! read more

This place may be modest on the outside, but it is a treasure within! I have been passing by this place every day on my way to work for the last YEAR. Finally today, my husband stopped by here to let me shop for local produce. He knows I LOVE vegetable gardening, but haven't been able to grow anything since we moved to our apartment in Bethlehem, PA. I'd had such a HORRIBLE morning, let me tell you... But since I had been curious about this place for so long, he brought me here to cheer me up. It worked! I loved seeing the selection of fresh, local produce they had. My husband told me "Get whatever you want". So... We may have gone a little crazy, lol. We bought a ripe watermelon, colorful bell peppers, fragrant onions, some luscious heirloom tomatoes I just could not live without-- and some sweet corn. We didn't get any fruit other than the watermelon, but they had apples, cantaloupe and peaches too. Along with a few other things. They had flowers and other plants as well. But we were mostly there for the produce. If their flower prices are good, my husband might want to get a hanging basket later... He has been saying he wants something to hang on our back patio. We'll have to check into that. Prices were decent, especially for the fresh, local quality. I like seeing their sign when we drive by, "Buy local, or bye-bye local". Catchy and it's a good point. The folks who work there are friendly and helpful. They ARE open all year-round, but of course the produce is only available when in season. They do keep a supply of bags on the produce table for your shopping convenience and they DO accept debit/credit cards, and cash. They are located on Newburg Road in Easton, PA. I did look them up on facebook, and I recommend doing that because they have a lot of great photos of their plants and produce there. After we got home with our fresh vegetable loot, I diced the potatoes and cooked them with some of the onion. Sooooo good! We also boiled some corn and had all this with hot dogs. The corn was amazing... My husband is from a different country and he had never husked corn, or boiled it, or eaten it from the cob before I taught him about 2 months ago.... Now I'm afraid I have made a monster because we have corn on the cob at least once a week! Lol. He was happy to try fresh/local at this place, he said it was the best thus far. I'm happy to leave a good review for this place, I tried to include as many details as I could for anyone who might be curious or passing through. There was a sign at the door... only 10 allowed... when I was there a few weeks ago. Had to have at least 50 customers walking around. If you aren't going to follow your own policy, you should take down the sign. Also,while the two women working at the cash registers wore masks and took the proper precautions, a gentleman working behind the cash register with them was walking around with his mask pulled completely off his face. I realize they are not comfortable, but as an employee, you really should wear it when you are around customers who must also wear their masks. Agree with other reviewers... bring more shrubs and plants out... or let us go to where they are. Thanks for listening. read more

We were happy to be supporting this small business and glad to see multiple signs requiring mask wearing. Unfortunately mask wearing doesn't seem to apply to their staff. We went to pay for our items and the employee wasn't wearing a mask (we also saw other staff walking around without masks). I even asked her about wearing a mask and she said she didn't have one. There's a sign right at the checkout telling us to wear masks yet here she is without one. We left our items there and will not be going back. read more

My daughter and I walked in with masks on but noticed the employees (we only saw 2) were not wearing masks. It was a Saturday afternoon. We weren't greeted or asked if we needed help, when I did ask the guy behind the counter a question he answered with a sarcastic tone and we felt he was being bothered by our presence. My daughter really wanted the plant she picked out so she reluctantly paid for it and we left and said we will never go back. I shopped there many years ago before the new greenhouses went up and the staff was not very pleasant then. The second chance was the last visit. read more

I've been here several times and they only Limit customers to what plants they place outside , meanwhile they have vast rooms of blooming plants that you are are not allowed to enter with RESTRICTED AREA EMPLOYEE signs all over the place. So if you want a plant with more blooms or bigger you have to keep asking an employee to go back there and find one Most people want to pick one they visually see, and it's Annoying as Hell to not be able to pick your own plants / flowers We were there a couple of weeks ago and the woman on the register had to keep leaving and going in the back to find suitable ones for a customer. Uh, Why don't you just allow customers to look for and choose their own plants I think they are losing Thousands of dollars in revenue with this bad retail model of having less than 20% retail space open to the public read more

I think they have a nice assortment and it always seems full so stopped in to pick up an Easter flower. With the pandemic going on, I would've thought small businesses like this would really appreciate their customers. I've honestly been going out of my way to support local businesses in times like this. Came in within 10 minutes of closing for a quick purchase, left 5 minutes later. Staff didn't seem happy nor did I feel appreciated as a customer. Saw, after the fact, there were other reviews that state the same thing regarding the staffs attitude. Therefore, if you don't mind minimal if any assistance, and staff that is here nor there, feel free to give them your business but we won't be back. read more

This is a new to me place. They are family run and the staff is super sweet and friendly. The plant stock is very healthy and there's a decent selection of both plants and shrubs - not huge though. All are reasonably priced. On last visit they had a ton of interesting varieties of tomatoes. Skip the big box stores and shop local! read more

Been going here since we moved to the area 10 years ago. Usually get most of my vegetable garden starter plants here. Nice selection. Have purchased flowers as well as hanging baskets and the hanging bags.Have not had any disappointments. Friendly staff. read more

Well technically I am not a customer since I've never actually bought anything there, not to say I did not try... My husband and I buy local every chance we get. I was looking for a few shrubs/bushes for along my back yard and saw a neighbor had a variety that I really liked but did not know what it was. I stopped in , looked through the selection then showed the man the picture to see if he could give me some insight what it is. The man was so very snotty and not at all helpful figuring out what it was.it looked like a hydrangea but bigger flower. He made no attempt to even look at the picture and continued doing what he was doing... So I left without even looking any further at their products... So last was last summer and I figured of give them another chance this year. I'm planning a Navy Retirement party for begining of Sept for my husband and wanted to have yellow mums as decor. I called mid-late July to place an order. The lady was fairly helpful but kept saying "I'll have him call you" . never did I ask if the mums would be blooming, it's not the important if they are blooming going to give them as party favors.. Well the man called me the next day, holy cow he seemed so unbelievably annoyed by my request and pretty much scolded me for asking for mums so early in the season. He must have said "they won't be blooming by then" 15 times during our 10 minute call... Humpf back to the drawing board... So I called another local nursery and they pretty much jumped through hoops to help me and offered for me to call a few days before to see if they are blooming (again not a big deal if they were not blooming) . I've noticed Home Depot and Walmart have mums that are all in bloom in stock... I just got off the phone the farmer and he was so so happy to report to me that they are indeed blooming and he has 2 varieties for me to pick from! WOW what a difference in customer service! So I'll be taking my $150 cash to Filchners and putting it in their pocket!!! It's a real shame that I could not shop the closest to me but happy to have found a go to nursery for any of my gardening needs. read more

Go there every year for vincas. This year as usual I went there again. I bought 5 flats of vincas. The next day - this past Saturday, I called to see if they had cascading vincas . The girl Megan on the phone was extremely nice and very helpful. I explained to her what I needed and was sending my husband in to pick up. She helped my husband and he said she was very nice but somehow there was confusion based on colors I wanted and the cascading ones being only mixed colors, not specific colors. Anyway he came home with a flat of cascading mixed vincas and a 3/4 flat of the same ones in specific colors that I bought 5 flats of the previous day. So I went right back with the flats and thats when I found out cascading only came in mixed colors so I said I would keep them but wanted to return the 3/4 of a flat he bought since I already had 5 flats of them- which is 60 flowers in each flat. The man that helped me was not nice at all, he was just down and out rude and he seemed quite annoyed. I waited in the register line to receive the help and after I explained this all to him and that my husband just bought them within the half hour, he looked at me and said "you'll have to wait until I help the man behind you." First off, I also waited in line for my turn, so I don't get why I was told to wait for him to help someone after me. Anyway, I patiently waited and when he walked back to me he just said , "Now what was that?" So I explained it all again and said I'd just like to return the 3/4 flat since I had so many from buying them the day before. He then put a smirky smile on his face and said " I can give in house credit and thats it" and he just walked away. So needless to say, I kept the 3/4 flat and Buzas for the $19.00 he couldn't refund to me and the nasty attitude he had with very poor customer service, has now lost my yearly business, in which I usually spend about $300- $400 per year on flowers, other shrubbery and plantings . I hope the $19.00 was worth it to their business. His nasty attitude also needs to be addressed as a customer whether buying, returning or asking questions should never be treated as he treated me. I will make sure I let anyone I know about the terrible experience I had there. read more
