The dessert was Halwa, which is an Afghan specialty from toasted flour prepared with sugar, almonds, raisins, and sprinkled with cardamom. Not beautiful, but a fantastic dessert, like a hot and savory bread pudding. I'd like to contrast this entire meal with Halle aux Grains. No dish was pretty to look at here; in fact, some of the dishes might even be considered ugly. But every bite burst and dazzled with complexity and deep flavor - a pleasure from bite to bite. I would eat here regularly if I lived in the area. I would not say that about Halle aux Grains, and this has nothing to do with price. 4.7.
