Then on the day we'd agreed to he called early and asked if he could send his guys over early to move the Vino Temp. I agreed to have them come over early. The guys moved the Veno Temp, a couch and chair very quickly and efficiently. They did a great job!! I highly recommend using them. Very professional and personable as well! They were all very kind and professional and you could tell that even though they were working hard doing something not many enjoy doing, they made the most of it and had fun with it. It is always a hit and miss when you open up a truck after driving it almost 1000 miles but when I opened the truck up at the end of my trip, everything was still exactly where they placed it! I made sure I had plenty of blankets, plastic wrap, ratchet straps, etc so that they were not short anything and they used a lot of what I had there which I was thankful for. For a 2.5 hour local move I paid $400. Better than most local places and national chains I was quoted... 3. They don't charge extra for blankets or equipment used. They wrapped things up well and took care of my stuff. 4. Friendly staff. 5. Worked with me to secure time! Elite tips/things to consider: 1. They bill based on time. So if the team gets stuck in traffic, you'll be paying for that time. Consider your times when you book. Ex) when it is high traffic... 8am vs 10 am 2. 2 hour minimum for all jobs. 3. While there's friendly staff, one of the team members dispatched for my job was significantly faster and better at triaging/organizing. Then they re-mounted the attic vent and painted everything to match the existing color. They did an absolutely fantastic job for what I considered to be a fair price, so they'll get more of my work. Unfortunately, one of the toilets has never functioned properly--it constantly runs and struggles to flush. Despite John returning several times, the problem was never resolved. We later hired John for other odd jobs, including installing a garbage disposal and fixing water backup into our dishwasher. As always, he was punctual and friendly. However, the garbage disposal was installed incorrectly, which caused new problems. He also accidentally caused some minor floor barrier damage while working in that area. To his credit, he offered to repair the damage right away, but I declined because I appreciated his willingness to help. The next day, when the water backup issue continued, we called him back. To our surprise, he asked for MORE money to revisit the SAME problem he had originally been paid to fix. Even after paying again, the issue still wasn't fixed. We ultimately had to hire another company, who immediately discovered that John had not removed the knockout plug or connected the dishwasher properly--something very basic for that type of installation. Overall, while John is personable and punctual, I cannot recommend him due to repeated problems, additional charges for unresolved issues, and ultimately needing to pay another professional to correct mistakes. Seems like an overall good guy trying to make a living but he needs to take his customers into better consideration if he would like to keep them.

We've lived in our 1980s era home for nearly 20 years & our cave of a kitchen has always bothered…read moreus. There was a needless wall cutting off the space from the living room & a dropped ceiling with ugly florescent lighting, but no other structural reason for the dropped ceiling. We wanted to get rid of the wall & dropped ceiling & have a new ceiling in line with the rest of the living room. My husband toyed with the idea of doing it himself, but I was concerned with the electrical work (a switch needed to be moved from the eliminated wall, can lights & pendants installed). Several contractors never even returned our call asking for estimates; one came & gave a reasonable estimate, then called back & doubled his price. Paul came out, gave a reasonable estimate & said he could start the job the next week. He started demo work on Monday & the job was finished on Friday! And that included him bringing in other guys for drywall & finishing work on the new ceiling. We're going to finish off the work we can (painting & hanging new light fixtures) to save a little money, but we were thrilled with the work from Black Rock; would definitely call them again in the future!
