Upon entering shop I was greeted with a warm welcome and felt very comfortable looking at so many amazing items. There are Prints, sculptures, dinnerware, tons of custom and fine jewelry. If you love costume jewelry this is a must visit! I'm so glad I stumbled upon this shop during a recent visit to Alexandria. The shop owner was friendly and attentive and their selection of found items and incredible estate jewelry was incredible! I found a pair of earrings that I couldn't live without and the shop owner offered to give me a discount on them at checkout - just because. Was actually recommended this shop by another jewelry store in the area, and was impressed by the collection they had. The store owners son was very helpful in showing me rings I'd be interested in, and actually spent a lot of time teaching me about the craft and value that goes into jewelry making. Terrific collections. My husband & I stopped in while walking in Old Town Alexandria. We left about 90 minutes later, but could have spent much longer. The son's owner was very friendly & knowledgeable about items we had questions on & was willing to bring items from upstairs to show us. This is the best most eclectic store in old town. I have live here for 4 years and been to most of all of them. Some tell you they are 'vintage' but then you find out it is CB2. I discovered this store after a having a bite at Five Guys and, wow, was it a great find! They have hundreds of drawers of vintage costume jewelry! I spent like an hour just in their animal pin section and found an original art deco sterling silver Chihuahua pin (Never seen one before or since). The jewelry is so much nicer than anything you can buy new and its very affordable. They have an upstairs with lots of furniture and artwork, a main floor with a mix of jewelry and objects d'art, and a downstairs filled with collectibles, Five stars! read more

BUYER BEWARE. I used to love this store. Bought tons and tons of jewelry from them and brought many friends in who also bought jewelry. Last Sunday, I purchased an expensive antique necklace there. I wore it for 10 minutes before one of the stones fell out. I returned 6 days later and asked for a refund. I was told they have a no return policy (not posted anywhere in the store nor on the receipt nor told to me when I purchased this) and to pick out something else. No offer was made by the owner to fix the item. I am now in dispute with them. I was told that she shouldn't have to guarantee anything that was that old. What store doesn't stand behind their merchandise when it falls apart? That is now my last time shopping at that store. Please be careful when you purchase something there!! read more

Just got back from exploring all three floors of this neat shop. It's got a great mix of very well organized jewelry - by stone, theme, etc. - and random cabinets of treasures - rugs, candlesticks, records... The stock is oriented towards art, accessories, and books, so if you're hoping for furniture you may have to check back. read more

Great place especially for jewelry. There is SO much and it's all perfectly organized! Only problem is the jewelry is WAYYYY over priced. Granted, there are some really unique, high quality, high value finds that are probably worth their price but I'd say about 75% of the jewelry is about double the price it should be. read more

I was walking back to my car yesterday when I decided to pop into this store. The owners were so friendly and nice! I told them that it was my first time in, and the owner gave me a quick description of what was on each floor and left me to wander. I ended up sticking with the jewelry section. They have a TON of costume jewelry, and even some nicer high-end pieces as well. There was so much to look at! Since I had walked in there just to look around, I hadn't planned on any big purchases, but there was a lot of temptation. I have been shopping at BW Art, Antiques and Jewelry ever since the store was new in town. I am not an antique shopper, but curiosity drew me to look inside. I was amazed to see such vast display of items in good taste, interesting and stimulating me to buy gifts. To look through the jewelry, one can take all day. But it is so well organized that when looking for something in particular, one is pointed to the exact drawer to open. All my brooches come from there and I enjoy them a lot. When my daughter visits from Boston, we go there regularly. She has said to me: "I wished I could take the whole store back with me to Boston."
