My favorites are the antiques and the kitchen areas; there are real treasures to be found. The glass case near the door almost always has merchandise worth bidding on. I also like how particularly interesting items that aren't quite case-worthy are placed in the front near the case for customer inspection. I've gotten a few choice items this way. I had some self-restraint and spent about $60.00 at the sto! So you better believe we stock up when we come here! This year, we happened to be in Iowa City during Black Friday and we decided to brave the crowds and go to Costco. To our surprise, it was not as chaotic and crowded as we thought it would be. I'd say it was a typical crowd that you would see on a Sunday, maybe a tad more shoppers. We stocked up on all of our essentials in preparation for the winter season and now our fridge and pantry are well filled. We even snagged a box of 24 cans of Spindrift for $9.99 which is absolutely the best deal we've seen for Spindrift. We also got a huge cut of New York strip steak for $7.99 per lb which will last us for months! All in all, this Costco is well stocked, well organized, and clean. The lines move pretty quickly, especially since they have a self-checkout and regular check out line. Service is efficient and there is a covered parking lot with lots of parking spaces. We are happy with our haul and will be back the next time we're in the city :)
