For many years I had it coloured.... lovely blonde and brown and honey highlights.... until I decided to become a silver fox.... (ha ha) The colour stylist was extremely talented and helped me grow out my colour without ever having a dreaded 'growing out your roots' look. (I originally started going when I needed 'rescuing' from a terrible colour that made me look truly terrible) I have always found the staff to be friendly, intelligent, and compassionate with my absurd neurotic desire to look like someone much better looking than I am!!!

Would you do that to your mother, your sister? ( i did not ask him the latter but wish i could now) But he was not interested. He has cut bits of my hair that should never be cut with a fringe, it looks wrong. Customer service right through the salon is weak and that is the crux of it. I came here for my most recent haircut a few weeks ago and I had an excellent experience. I made an appointment with very little notice, which I thought perhaps meant they weren't that busy, but when I was in there were plenty of other customers there too. They have a wee consultation section inside the salon and my hairdresser took a lot of time to understand exactly what it was I wanted. My hairdresser was lovely and I was really pleased with my haircut - my hair was really soft and bouncy by the end of it. The prices were a wee bit much to be honest, I think my cut and blow dry came to about £30. I wouldn't go to Neil Grant all the time to get my haircut as it is a bit too expensive, but once in a while it is worth it as the quality of my haircut was fantastic.

It has a laid back style and homey feeling to it- no extreme shiny surfaces or too many posters of hair models draping the walls. If you are getting hair dyed you can hang out on their comfy couches with coffee/tea. I have had my hair cut three times here. The first two I was quite pleased with , the last was ok- I only ever get a trim so nothing too drastic was required but somehow it wasn't a great cut. They do have a student deal and offer services of head massage , manicure/pedicure and other massages. Prices can vary depending on the service- probably the most relaxing hair wash I have ever had, but careful on offers for head massage etc as this will be added to your bill in the end and lead to a possible unpleasant suprise. Other than that, lovely atmosphere! Book in advance is advisable, although twice they have managed to fit me in when I dropped by.

The salon is always buzzing when you go in and even when I'm just waiting to pick them up, I always get offered tea, coffee or wine. All the staff are so friendly and nice and the hairstyles that are created are young and fresh. The staff and salon have won shedloads of awards. I think they're expensive but they assure me that it's all great value and worth every penny to get exactly what you want.

I have been to this salon several times to get my hair cut and each time I leave feeling completely fabulous! From the moment you walk into the salon you feel like a valued customer as all the staff are incredibly friendly. Each time I have been it has always been very busy, although I have always managed to get an appointment at the last minute which is a bonus. Getting my hair washed at Medusa is definitely my favourite aspect of the hairdressing experience. They lather your hair in the most delicious smelling shampoo and massage your head for a wee while which is so relaxing! My hairdresser was very friendly and understood exactly what it was I was after. The prices start at £32 for a ladies hair cut and blow dry which I first thought was a little bit expensive but having been and experienced the service, I found that it was very worth it. They do offer student discounts which start at 10%. Medusa also has a beauty salon in its hairdressing store and offers manicures and pedicures.
