UPDATE-- After finishing the program I worked as an instructor for theDevMasters. I worked for two months, about six weekends, and was told I would be paid by Arshad, the owner. This was back in Feb/Mar and it is now July and I have not received a single dollar for my 40+ hours working for theDevMasters. DO NOT recommend to work for them. The owner Arshad has not been transparent and communicative as to why I have not received payment.

Great course, great people…read more Course is structured so that any one regardless of background can learn. I graduated with a background in business and by taking the Dev Masters course was able to quickly learn what I wanted to about data science. While the program offers a lot of office hours to take advantage of most of the work to go beyond simple understanding must be done on your own outside of the classroom. The teachers are very good at explaining the overall concepts and helping with specific problems, but just sitting through the classes will not get you enough experience to really learn the subject. The classes themselves are taught very well and supplemented with a lot of hands on learning experiences. You can even tailor your hands on projects to what you specifically want to learn. I would recommend this course to anyone whose primary goal is to learn how they can leverage data science in their respective field. The only downside to consider is that due to the rigorous nature of the material and amount of information that is possible to learn most of the work done to be successful must be done on your own or with some assistance with specific questions during office hours

Very passionate about the subject matter, engaging, clearly an expert who has spent a lot of time in the field with lots of stories to tell, and excellent at providing students a very thorough understanding of bush craft, emergency response, and first aid. He makes sure every student who wants to learn gets hands on experience, and goes the extra mile to ensure students have the supplies and support they need to succeed. It was pouring rain during our course and he took the opportunity to show us how to adapt to inclement weather, maintained a positive, friendly attitude, and found ways to still make every moment a teaching moment. I left the course feeling way more empowered and confident in my outdoor capabilities (I can make a friction fire and my own shelter and rope now from found materials!) and with a desire to dive even deeper into wilderness survival skills. Highly recommend this course for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

There is so much information and fun packed into the Bushcraft Family Weekend Course. Thomas has a great sense of humor and keeps it exciting and lively the entire time. We all had a great time and would not hesitate recommending this experience to anyone. It's a great way to connect, learn practical skills and have fun in a beautiful environment. My kids are already begging me to book another class.
